American Idol: Season 10 PART III

My thoughts about last night.

First, I couldn't get past Jacob's Pee Wee Herman look. His voice is OK but there's no way he could win.

Casey, I think that a Vegas show is much better for him. I can't imagine hearing anything that's he done so far on the radio.

Haley, although a hometown girl, I don't see her making it on the radio either.

Lauren and Scotty, I'm not a fan of country but I can see them making it.

I really liked Scotty last week when sang the Coldplay song with Casey and James. It took him out of the country and I thought that he sounded pretty good.

Lauren can pretty much sing anything.

James has always been my favorite. I think he nailed it again last night. I can't wait to see him and Steven together on stage if he makes it to the end.

Its not so much a case of quote on quote "making it". It's a case of what is in demand and popular in the world of music at that time. And what is in and popular right now in regards to music is pop and dance music, and of course country has its own set of fans. As far as rock and roll goes, its dead as a door nail.

Theres a reason why in demand pop and country acts are able to go out and tour as the headliner without the need for support from another heavyweight act to sell out concert venues. With rock and roll there are very few bands that can go out on their own and still successfully sell out a venue, so instead of going and playing smaller venues most rock groups have to co-bill with another one.

All but one of those I know in AL are safe and accounted for. The one, I'm still awaiting word on him.

We got a severe storm that woke me up at about 3:45AM (about an hour and a half before I was supposed to get up). Nothing too major other than some trees down about 10+miles from the house.

Now THAT is a feat.. to turn me from utter disdain to totally amazed.

I think it'll be him and Scotty at the end and it'll be another David A vs David Cook competition. Let's see if he can garner up enough cougar love to beat out the teeny boppers...

I'm not on board with the James love. He had one good song that he didn't scream through..if he continues that..well maybe. Last night was good..but not a DC moment for me at all..I still like Scotty and Lauren better. I just Lauren would show some of the spunk she showed in her first audition.

Same here! James had one decent song. But I've loved Scotty and Lauren this whole time and they're still my favorites.

I hope the James love doesn't pass them up. My favorites never win and I want to see one of my faves win!

James has had SEVERAL outstanding songs. His Judas Priest was fantastic.

Doesn't seem like it. I got so ticked this morning. Turn on the national news and they are opening with the wedding....ummm, major serious issues in OUR country and yes, let's go across the pond to London and chat with them.

I just started watching the show. Was watching the first part of the NFL draft to see my Panthers choose Cam Newton (like we need another QB... just a team to back one up and keep him protected).

Did anyone see the commercial she does for diabetic test strips. Kind of surprised me to see her in that. I know she has the disease but they used her in it like a celebrity.

I have to say I prefer Crystal's album over Lee's. Lyrically and musically it is much better then Lee's. Crystal you can tell one song from the next, Lee not so much.
