American Idol: Season 10 PART III

Tuning out, there are already deaths due to the storms in Alabama. Thanks for your good wishes everyone... ugadog and Mandy, hunker down!!

I'll be the lone poster here who liked Haley. Not her best and there were a few flat notes, but over the past five weeks or so, she's become a favorite of mine.

Boy I hope if they vote off Casey they put him in th band the next week.

And I really could see im getting voted off. IMO I think Haley has a better voice.

I do like Haley, and hope she hangs on another week. What happened at the beginning of her perfomance?:confused3

Scotty
Lauren
James

Jacob and Casey bottom 2

How funny that Casey and Hailey did a cute little love song lol

James and Lauren are my top two :cool1: :cool1:

Scotty is my middle top guy

Jacob is my middle bottom guy

Please gawd, send Casey and Haley home :headache::headache: OMG, I can't even stand to look at Casey anymore :headache:

My bottom 3: Jacob, Scotty, Haley

My top 3: Casey, James, and Lauren

:scared1: Did Nancy just say that?

Though I agree. James was great. Off to watch Breaking In. Funny show.

I know...sometimes I even make myself go :scared1:. I wonder if you know where just froze over. :rotfl:

Watching the weather channel..look out north Georgia. They are saying 15 confirmed dead in Tuscaloosa and the storms are making a bee line to N. Georgia,....and now they just said a tornado warning for the Manassas, VA area.

Our watch is over, nothing happened here. I feel so horrible for those affected by this horrible weather. :sad1:

Sorry but Carol King is boring as all get out. Let's see what happens tonight...perhaps a miracle?

JACOB: (Oh No Not My Baby) can't say I am familiar with this song. Now I know why. BORING. And he is dressed like a well heeled clown, or maybe it's a hobo. This is no good. Nope, not for me. :headache:

LAUREN: (Where you Lead) another song I don't know. She looks terrific for starters. This song is vanilla I can't listen to it without a sugar cone! But Lauren is doing the best she can to put lipstick on this pig. It's pleasant. Did she forget a lyric at the end? She kind of stared at the judges like she was panicking. Overall a respectable job. :goodvibes

HALEY/CASEY: (I Feel The Earth Move) No brainer that these two are doing a duet. I detest this song in general. Haley sounds like garbage. Casey isn't doing any better. Together they make me want to punch the television.

SCOTTY: (You've Got a Friend) I kind of like this particular song, so Scotty's already ahead of the game for me. What;s with the neck all crunched up ala George Clooney on ER?? At least he isn't playing the flute tonight. It's another vanilla performance but at least it isn't twangy country-fried singin', so he gets a pass. :thumbsup2

JAMES: (Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow) an odd choice for James. Accapella?? You go James! Oh...my...GOD he could put this oldie on the radio like this right now. He's untouchable!! THAT is how you do Idol. BAM! :worship:

SCOTTY/LAUREN: (Up On A Roof) I LOVE this song...mostly because way back when they made a video of it on Dtv on the Disney Channel with goofy. Woops Scotty is hitting some questionable notes. Overall it's eons better than Casey and Haley.

CASEY: (Hi De Ho) not much of a stretch here. This is a bit cabaret for me but it's still good. Self-indulgent, if I may quote Simon. :cool2:

HALEY: (Beautiful) This is so forgettable. That's all. :rolleyes1

JAMES/JACOB: (I'm Into Something Good) whose idea was THIS pairing????? So unfair to make James last impression on the viewer to be this stink fest, paired with Jacob who sucked out loud tonight!

Interesting night.

TOPS:
James

MIDDLE:
Lauren
Scotty
Casey

BOTTOM:
Haley
Jacob

This should be Jacobs last night. He was out of his depths.

Really Scotty is worse then Casey? to each there own I guess lol

I don't understand why you would ask that.:confused3 I have my favorites, even if they aren't all popular choices. You like Scotty aka Alfred and that's ok.

Need a hammer - 'cause for me, this whole post is BANG on!!!

loved....loved....loved James!!

I am a really big Carol King fan. A friend gave me the Tapestry album as a gift when it first came out. DH & I saw CK & James Taylor on tour last year. So I LOVE her songs.

I'm still a Casey fan - he's quirky, fun, unusual, entertaining.

But James should win it all. Jacob can go now....please! (who dressed him?)

I found James' song online, it was AMAZING!

I love Carole King's songs... they are my childhood! I love that song and never heard it THAT good!

I'm amazed how much I liked it, I really cannot stand James. But he had a David Cook moment last night. I'm sorry I missed it because of the storm but am thrilled I found it this morning.

I guess the term "Will you still love me tomorrow?" is for REAL for James. Yes, James, I love you and it's tomorrow.

:thumbsup2

Top 3: James, Lauren, Scotty (yay for microphone coaching!)

Bottom 3 (in the order they must go, so says the queen :rotfl2:):
Haley
Jacob
Casey

I'm fairly sure Jacob will go this week, though, and the ever-so-confusing Haley love-fest will continue. I really thought she seemed disconnected and dispassionate last night, almost cranky. I realize she started out with technical difficulties, but as a performer, you have to let it go and still give it all you've got. My 15yo did say, however, that she understood most of the words for the first time...

I knew poor James was going to get clicked in with Jacob, but I really didn't think their voices blended badly, it just wasn't the best song for it. And Scotty did not harmonize well; Jennifer was too kind. :rolleyes1

PLEASE please let Jacob go home tonight. Of all that remain, he is by far the worst, IMHO.

This is the order I'd want them to go home:

Jacob (please?)
Casey
Haley
Scotty
James
Lauren

Now that has changed a bit. I used to want the final two to be Lauren and Casey but after James' performance last night, I think he definitely could be in the final two.

Scotty is just too much like all the rest, nothing unique.

Sorry but this household enjoys Haley.

I love Casey, but not really this week. He did more of his growling. :(

Go Lauren!!! :goodvibes:thumbsup2
