American Idol: Season 10 PART III

And then Haley will roll her eyes and say (with her ever-present smirk), "Why didn't you losers give me that kind of feedback all year?" She'll then totally dis Ryan when he reaches out to shake her hand, flip everybody off and stomp back to seat. :rolleyes:

I wouldn't be surprised if that was part of the calculus that went into deciding that, for what I believe may be the first time ever, a third place contestant is to have a solo in the finale. I know I discussed with my wife simply skipping AI this coming week, not out of spite, but just because we have so many other things to do. But with Haley performing solo, that might make it work tuning in.

I don't know about third place singers getting a solo but Jason Castro finished fourth in his season and had a beautiful solo during the finale singing "Hallelujah". By the way, Jason received the ultimate unfair and unfounded treatment by the judges when Paula Abdul critiqued a song that Jason had not yet sung on the show. She tried to explain her way out, first saying she meant the criticism for David Cook. Realizing that she was not supposed to give negative feedback to Cook, she had to back off that explanation. She then tried to say that she was actually criticizing his rehearsal but there was an audience for the rehearsal who pointed out that the judges weren't even present for the rehearsal. Jason then had to sing the song that he had already been told that he would sing badly.

Sorry for the trip down memory lane.

Don't be sorry at all for the trip down memory lane!
Jason did give an amazing performance, and a lot of criticism was given to a lot of the performers during the season...and they all knew they were going to be on the recieving end and could handle it. If you agree to going on the show, just part of the deal. These contestants are given the platform of AI, bottom line they should remember that and not bite the hand that they want to feed them. Jason :hippie: was my fave that season, still love to listen/watch him. He also handled the unsettling Paula remarks with a lot of grace , maturity and a smile.

I love Jason. His CD is very nice. Did you know he is soon gonna be a Dad?

There was so much conjecture about him being a pothead during the season. All which turned out to be nonsense.

Jason is my favorite AI contestant from all of the seasons. He always handled the crticisim with grace. I don't think he ever tried to talk back to or talk over the judges.

David Cook did not take Simon's criticism with grace. He lost it the one time too. Just like several other contestants over the years.

Whoa. :sad2: I remember Jason, but not much about him. I don't think I was as invested in the past seasons as I am in this one. I can only vaguely remember that Paula flub, but now that you bring it up, it does ring a bell. Pretty bad on Paula's part.

My friend told me he was going to be a dad just a week or 2 ago! Very happy for him and his wife. :thumbsup2

I don't quite remember it that way. Not everyone rolled over and took it... Obviously, "the hand" recovered nicely from Haley's "bite". After all, they immediately signed her to a record deal.;)

For Jason trip down memory lane fans... my son got this hand drawn pic of him when he was performing at his school about a year ago:

He said he was the most CHILL guy he'd ever met, and Mike had no CLUE who he was! He performed and the girls screamed so much he didn't hear him. He met him after the show in the cafeteria. He sat and talked to him for awhile. My son is VERY shy so this was a big thrill for him, but he said Jason was just as shy and nice as he seems. When he showed me the picture I was hysterical!!

You sat and talked with JASON CASTRO!!! :yay::yay: He was like :confused:

:rotfl2::lmao:
