She's also been around for 12 years. That's a long time, so 14,000 doesn't really prove much, especially if she was more involved in earlier years.

Yeah, I'm August 1999 and I have a little over 20,000 and I stopped posting for about a year and don't post half as much as a used to. Robin is September of 99 and she is way up there in post counts compared to shortbun and myself.

Of course I did lose posts in one of the board crashes back then and I don't think Aug 99 is my actual join date anymore so who knows what my actual count is.

I do discuss AI at work. We work in TV and discuss the shows even in meetings. This year has been VERY limited, no one has a favorite, the closest was James, who several girls liked but barely remembered his name. They always called him the "rock guy with asbergers"..

Though we are all living and working in the South none of us are country fans so the show is toast to us.

My actual start date is 1998, I remember because was after my first trip to Orlando in July 1998, when my son was 5. He's 18 now.

I have WAY more posts because I was a moderator for 5 boards for almost 7 years of my stint here. I had to answer things I didn't even want to answer!!

I was a huge James fan, huge and I am so disappointed he did not make it to the finale. I loved watching him on Leno and Ellen!!!

I don't know what to think of the two finalists. I do not care for Scotty, while he is nice young man, every time he sings I feel like he sounds like he is much older than he really is. Not to mention I am not into country music. Lauren, I just think is just way too young to be the AI. Too young.

I think Scotty is 17 and Lauren is 16, so both are very young. But many singers today start even younger, so hopefully both will be successful with their future careers. I am hoping Lauren wins, but think that Scotty will.

I think the opposite. I would have been bored with James and Haley, but I'd still be watching. My excitement would have been seeing how long I could hold off before hitting mute or turning the sound down..and maybe I'd be surprised and not have to do either. James had that twice this year with me.

Good thing there is more than 1 radio station in existence otherwise there would be a lot of bored people. Of course maybe if there was only 1 type of music and singers we all wouldn't know any different so we'd all like the same thing. OK, still boring

Yeah, that's 3 whole posts a day and much lower than most folks who have been around the same time. When I was planning travel AND when we could talk politics, I was here much more-a couple hours a day. I'm here to hit and run now because that's all I have time for. I'm shocked that it comes out to three a day in all that time. I'd have thought I'd have at least a 5 a day average. I have a pretty involved family life but I do still like to kibbitz around here now and then. Like now, I came back to check this thead; I'll do a quick sweep for anything new then I'm gone untill late tonight when I'll probably check in again. Oh, and everybody-thanks for your backup. I'll return the favor if I see the need, k? Love this place!!!

No you're not, I liked him, too. I think he'll do great with gospel, and surprisingly it's marketed better than R&B.

I also like Jacob. Altho, like Lauren I felt his audition was one of his better days. Hollywood week , he was a force to be reckoned with, same with Casey.
I think Jacob gives the vibe that he is more at home doing Gospel which will transfer into his talent. One of the big reasons that thru the years the Idol judges have always commented on finding "who you are" as an artist. That, and they want to see who buys what ahead of time, so they know who to bother investing in. A lot of songs sung at the finale by Idols who have been eliminated are not necessarily already decided upon to be released as a single, until they get the feedback of how it goes over on the show.
