There are SOOO many amazing pictures of this guy I am half tempted to print them out and make an AI scrapbook.

But I have not quite gone THAT far off the deep end. Yet. :rotfl:

Carly looks silly in this picture

and MJ looks like he's kissing the mike!

My DH said that David must like to dress up, he's always wearing a suit jacket.
My reply?
"Every girl's crazy bout a sharp dressed man!" :lmao:

I was watching Idol Extra and he dresses MUCH better now than he did then. His facial hair is better, his regular hair is better. He really did improve, and not just with his music.

I HATED his hair in the beginning. And every once in a while it would get bad again. I hate when he'd have the piece plastered to his face. Yuck.

What week did all you Cook fans start to take notice of him?

I was at WDW the first time we saw Cook. (Port Orleans Riverside...WOO!) I only sort of took notice because he was one of the few people from the Omaha auditions that they showed making it through to Hollywood. But I didn't take much notice because he wasn't from Omaha. I thought he was okay. And I like the song "Livin on a prayer."

Hollywood week I didn't notice him much at all. Except that I hated his stupid hair. I'm pretty sure I made fun of him.

Top 24...He came out and started doing "Happy Together." As the song started, my hubby was walking by and said, "The turtles? yuck." Or something along those lines. I said something about it being a horrible song and a horrible song choice. (This was all within the first 10 seconds of the song.) Hubby left the room and I continued watching. I thought it was pretty good. Hubby came back in the room and I said, "Wow. This guy managed to turn a crappy song into something bearable. Good for him!"

So yeah...I'd say "Happy Together" was the first time I took real notice of his talent.

I didn't think he was attractive until WAY later though...haha.

I thought his hair was hideous then too! As for alot of people, I think I noticed him the most when he sang Hello. I liked his voice before then, but those looks into the camera....:rolleyes1 He was definitely my favorite after that! I showed DH that video on youtube and he liked him too and started watching with me from then on.

You didn't like the shop teacher comb-over look?

I think this season is best summed as follows.

A few winners. A whole lotta losers.

Looks like things are pretty much done here. I'll tuck in the thread if somebody else wants to read it a story.

Goodnight.

Story- Once upon a time David Cook was crowned the new American Idol and shows his tummy onstage...And the DIS women lived happily ever after.

The End.

He had me from Hello.

I thought he had a nice voice. Didn't really like his audition...thought it was overdone. But Hello was just so well done that he really won me over. Before then I thought it was just going to be a rather bland season.

Did anybody else see Chris Knight on the Celebrity Circus promo.

That is funny. I may watch it to see more has-beens get hurt.

dress.

right.

no one will get what i'm talking about. except maybe quest.

You made me look! Now I can't think straight.

I liked his voice from the start, but at the beginning I was pushing more for Luke. Then Luke sang the Wham song and I no longer was a fan. I was over the top for Cook when he sang "Hello", though it was hard to get over the hair. The stylists did a great job with him.

I fell in love during the audition, but I've also stalked Bon Jovi in the past..... :lmao: The funny thing is, I didn't remember his name at first. I just called him the guy with hair like Cam's. (Cam is my DS6. Poor boy is NOT going to have great hair. :guilty: )

When Ryan said that he would be singing Hello, I was like Nooooooooooo! I used to hate that song. I can remember that they couldn't get the guitar to work, and I thought "Good! Maybe I wont have to listen to that stupid song." :scared1: Then he started singing and.....:faint: I remembered more than his name.
