We lucked out on getting tickets. A few weeks ago, I happened to be flipping channels and saw a quick, local commercial saying Adam & Queen would be coming to Madison Square Garden. They were
adding an extra night to the already sold out night. Tickets would be on sale in about a week.
I promptly forgot to mark that day down. But, two days before they went on sale, I saw the commercial again. I realized I'd be home that morning, so I could station myself on the computer when tickets go on sale.
Even so, when I got on, I was several thousand in the virtual queue. But, maybe due to the whole Taylor Swift debacle of scalpers snatching up all the tickets via bots, so regular customers didn't stand a chance, Madison Square Garden instituted (or re-instituted) the anti-scalpers law in NY: that any tickets RE-sold (on reselling sites) can only be sold for the actual face value of the ticket. There was actually a popup on the webpage while waiting for tickets. There is no reason for scalpers to get tickets if they aren't going to make any money.
I waited in the queue for about 20 minutes, thinking for sure all the good tickets would be gone. But, the seats we wanted were still there! And they weren't at the jacked up "Premium Seat" prices only a few seats over.

Although, we still did spend a good portion of our rent money.

(Thank God for credit cards.

We pretty much got the same seats we got when we had seen Cher (and similar seats for Celine Dion,) right before the pandemic.

Those 2-1/2 years during the pandemic with no live performances of any kind and social and cultural starvation really taught us our priorities. We don't want to spend for nice cars or fancy designer clothes. We NEED our live performances and will be willing to pay for those events.
