I find it interesting that the #'s from episode 1 to 5 are shifting.

I went through each team, and the only team whose ratings went up every single episode were the Gaghans.

Followed by the Paolos.

And the Weavers is going down as was another team, I think.

In other words--the trend is more important than the one episode. That's all. :flower:

AR commercial just on----it is a TWO-hour episode next week. Check your timers.

Looks like a challenge involves airplanes--and the editing makes it "appear" like something bad happened....but it kind of looks like they are doing free-fall drops in the airplanes.

Are you from the Weaver family?

I don't like the Weaver Family, they are very annoying and still would be if they were Jewish, Muslim or even Vulkin. ;)

The Gaghans seem like a wonderful family, I liked them a lot. The parents seemed very level headed and lead by example, they have 2 great kids.

The Paolos- Started out not liking them but they're growing on me. I would love for them to win the race just to see the reaction on the Weavers faces. :rotfl:

Linz- I enjoy the brother/sister teasing that goes on, reminds me of my own family.

Bransen- I feel for the Dad, it has to be hard being with your 3 daughters 24/7 under such stressful conditions like that.

Godlewski- My least favorite team after the Weavers just because of the constent bickering, makes me glad I grew up with brothers.

The part about the the Paolos winning just to see the look on the weavers fave is a bit obnoxious. The Weavers really didn't do anything to them. The Paolos yielded them just bc they are the Weavers, not using the yeild for the reason it was intended.

If these are your reasons for disliking them, then apparently you must have disliked about 85% of the people who have ever played this game. Why do you watch?

I couldn't agree more. Gee.. Like DJ doesn't freak out, past seasons racers have really said horrible things about each other, nothing compares to the weavers. They were upset they were yielded. I also thing the kids said more and the MOm was trying to tell them to stop.

:confused3

I thought the rules were to use it when it was most advantageous. Holding up a team at anytime can be advantagous. The purpose of the yield isn't just to save your behind and keep you from last place. ETA:--and it very well could have helped them to first place. The Weavers may be annoying and I may not like them..but they aren't a bad team in terms of ability (with the exception of their lack of knowledge on geography).

Not saying "yeah Paolos"--though I kinda am...but how can you judge the advantage or not? It was used within the constraints that it was supposed to.

Anybody know how long the wait for the yield is?

Actually, the reason I don't like them is because of how they compare to this seasons teams.. Has nothing at all to do with how they compare to past seasons' players. The way they go about things is just stupid. Don't say things like you're "Above them" and "Better than them" if you're not going to at least make an effort! You can't say things like that and then make fun of a man's honest living, say someone looks retarded, and ignore people in an airport.. Sometimes I like the villains or disliked teams on TAR, but that's because they don't claim to be saints.

They did use it for the reason intended. They hoped that the Weavers wouldn't have time to catch up, therefore would come in last and be eliminated. And, as another posted said before, if every team is racing to the box to yield you, there's a problem. Everyone wanted the Weavers gone.

The Paolo's plan would have worked had the Gaghan mom found the bean sooner, too.

They chose the rope bridges. The NYorkers were the only team to choose the bananas.

Thanks for the info! Sorry it took me so long to come back and say thanks.

I don't think he ever says. He does use the word "hourglass", so that leads me to believe it's an hour. But, that does seem like a long time. Maybe it's only 30 minutes.

I am pretty sure the yield is 30 minutes. I thought I heard one of the Weaver girls say something about 30 minutes when their yield was over.

Yeah, Phil never does say how long the yield is. I believe he says it's a "predetermined amount of time". So I wonder if there are different waiting periods for different yields.

But then he always says "this hourglass" so is it for an hour or can an hourglass have more time than an hour. I don't know.
