Amazing Race All Star starts 2/23/14 Offical Thread no spoilers

All the alliance talk drives me nuts, this is a race not Survivor, are they all going to hold hands and make it a tie at the end. lol

The "alliance" just made me want the Cowboys or Brendan & Rachel to win even more then I did before. Hopefully David & Conner are next because they seriously irritate me.

ITA! I am not a Brendon/Rachel fan at all and never have been (although I will say they seem less annoying than previous years on AR and BB), and it honestly kinda irritates me that the other teams in the alliance, especially the idiot girls who should have gone home a LONG time ago and Dave & Connor actually make me root for them, just because I dislike them sooo much. I really hope Dave & Connor leave next...well really like weeks ago (Dave especially seems like such a pompous jerk), but with 3 teams working together and sharing info. and answers I think it's gonna be hard for them to be out, but I'll still hope.

Hoping for the cowboys to win, Brendon/Rachel 2nd, and Afganimals 3rd.

Rachel was a cocktail waitress in Vegas. I would assume that she would have been friends with and or immersed in the "Vegas" lifestyle. She has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.

She also is a TV host and owns a company for animals (not sure but it is to educate owner and strays I believe).

Yes she has taken jobs along the way to help support her in her career. Gosh yes she was whiny and a pain in the butt but I think she has grown a lot in the last few years. This season on Amazing Race she is the one talking Brendon down. And for the record he has his PHD and is going to begin on his research after this season. It's his "last hurrah".

Many of the Reality TV stars are true friends and even though on TV drama appears not all is true

I believe Dave and Connor are playing cards that should not be thrown around and even the Country Singers were in on that saying you can't U-turn someone who had cancer. I think that is not the idea for the game. You are suppose to race. ALL players.

I know who wins. So I will stop my post, enjoy the rest of the season. It will get exciting.

We think we know also and I'm still watching. I enjoy shows where players PLAY and COMPETE. My favorite thing about the Amazing Race is how teams work at completing tasks. This silliness needs to end and let's start racing again.

Count me as another who wouldn't be rooting for Brenchal if not for the "accidental alliance". I don't undertstand why people are giving the Afghanimals a pass though. All three teams were behaving in such an ugly manner this episode, and the Afghanimals not only ridiculed Brenchal, they were nasty to the cowboys as well. I am so glad the cowboys beat Afghanimals to the mat after they proclaimed they could outrun the cowboys.

Cowboys or Brenchal winning is the only good option, but usually Amazing Race has awful winners so I'm not holding my breath.

Phil is a guest on Home & Family. A viewer asked which Amazing Race finish was (in his opinion) the most amazing finish. Phil said this season's was the best because they took a gamble on the last task and didn't know if it was going to work or not and it turned out to be one of the best finales ever. He did say the city they were ending the race in too but I won't say as some might view it as a spoiler.

You've just said what I was going to write. My kids have had a lot of jobs to put them through university. It doesn't surprise me at all that she has done so many things throughout her life. Heck, when *I* was in university, I had 3 jobs at a time, not including nanny, babysitter or housesitter. Far from what she has been portrayed in Big Brother, Rachel in not dumb. Yes, she has cried her tears in frustration with herself and some situations she has been in, but, give her credit. She has grown and matured.

I bolded the one section because when you see/hear interviews after the fact, it is so clear that what we see is the editor's decision, only part of the reality, and not what is.

I wish the teams were not allowed to help each other. You should make it to the next leg of the race on your own.

The country singers would have been at the Mustang challenge for hours without help. They didn't have a clue.

I'm giving them a little bit of a pass (I'd like to see Dave & Connor and the Country girls go before them) because they at least know what they're doing. In the interviews, they take ownership of the fact that they're paying along with the alliance because they think those are the two weaker teams and that they can beat them.

And this could be editing, but on the train, the Afganimals went along with the alliance, but they didn't seem to be verbally mocking Brenchel. They didn't stop it certainly, but they didn't seem to be joining in. So they're not being quite as nasty as the other teams in the "alliance."

It is very "spoilerish" and I am fairly annoyed by it. If you want to be spoiled, that's fine but this thread specifically asks for NO SPOILERS in the title so IMO that includes "I know who won and I am very upset!". There is at least one team that is universally liked and this would indicate that team probably did not win and that maybe a team that is hated won instead.

In the spirit of full disclosure I helped spoil a Bachelor thread (Jake's Season) after I found out that he picked Vienna and I did the same thing on that thread along with others. I never said her name but since everyone HATED Vienna it was pretty clear who we were talking about. I am more careful now and I would hope that others on this thread will learn from nanajoyx2's mistake (assuming it was not intentional).

I agree. I rarely post here, but read regularly. The main reason I read this thread is the no spoiler policy.
I think it's way too easy to accidentally leave unintended "hints" when posters start dancing too close to spoilers.

Sorry, I don't agree. But then again, I have no idea which team would be considered univerally liked. On this thread I see support for several teams.

eta: I just checked and nanajoy has only one post on this thread. I don't think you can make any assumptions about which team she wanted to win with no posting history.

I am sorry if most of you feel I "spoiled" the outcome for you. That certainly was not my intention. I have not stated my opinion of ANY of the remaining players. Your "likes and dislikes" may very well differ from mine.

I never enjoy watching repeat players on reality shows. This season has been a bore for me. I feel that the producers edit the contestants actions to create drama. Remember, they already know the outcome, and therefore edit it for their (CBS's) benefit. I think that is unfair to all the contestants.

Again, sorry for my mistake. I won't be posting on here again.

It is far from ruined. Many people like/dislike all of the teams that are still left. They all have posters who like or dislike them.

If the other posters only other post was I totally hate the team of Bob/Joe, then this was poster. Okay I would see a pattern. Actually I wouldn't cause I would not go back and read all their posts.

I also posted that I know. I also said that the upcoming weeks will be exciting. So was that a spoiler also? If so I am sorry, but I really don't think it spoils anything but hopefully people will enjoy the end of the season.
