Amazing Race All Star starts 2/23/14 Offical Thread no spoilers

Annoying how Rachel kept whining about being a girl and saying not to hit a girl in the bull ball challenge. Likewise, the dad in the father-son team whined about being old and said not to hit an old guy...but he said it twice while Rachel was incessant.

Yes, I agree it was the wrong strategy (won't spoil and say what). Argh!!

Dave... I'm an old man. Hello! They all do it.

I just can't believe the blondes... Stumbling through the race and making it all the way.

Incessant? I watched and would say she was incessant. She mentioned it was all.

Not really surprised at how things went tonight. I do agree it was the wrong strategy.
I wasn't surprised either since it was spoiled earlier that they didn't win. Who didn't like the Cowboys :confused3? Who would be mad if they were spoiled that they won? Now, all 4 teams that are left have their haters so the final result is up in the air. Any one of them could have made nanajoyx2 mad ... especially my favorites :rotfl:.

FWIW, I think the U-Turn was absolutely the right strategy. Leo hurt his knee and knew that the Cowboys were the strongest team behind them. They were not sure how hard he would be able to race and it made perfect sense to U-Turn the strongest team they could.

I agree with some others on here, that Dave and Connor are looking very childish. I think Brenchel made a good decision U-turning them, I mean they were right on their tail. I used to really like Dave and Connor, but they are now my 2nd least favorite team, only a few feet in front of the country singers(I never liked them). I wouldn't mind any of the other 3 teams winning, I feel like they have not relied on other teams for much help, and have raced well.

I think they made the right call too. The fact is nobody knows what happens long term. Transportation can get you beat at any time. So if you have a chance to win a leg, you win one and at least you have that prize to take home no matter what happens the rest of the way. And by not Uturning the obvious team, that means people that had their uturns left have to think about uturning them (rather than Brenchal if they get the chance. They were just mad they got Uturned and mad Brenchel didn't uturn who they wanted. Crybabies.

You only have to be the best once to win. You just can't be the worst on any elimination leg. But they illustrate the need for some rule changes against helping other teams. I want to see teams stand and fall on their own merits. Also, I think the design of the legs has been poor this time.

Who didn't like the Cowboys
Me. Didn't dislike em. Didn't like em. But I was glad they didn't get into that alliance. They stood on their own, they went down on their own.

I think they had planned to Uturn em all along the knee notwithstanding.

When Brenchal is the favorite team left, well the last 4 aren't a good lot.

I should have phrased that "Who really hated The Cowboys?". I liked them OK, but they were not my favorites. I wouldn't have minded them winning since I thought that they ran good races. I like Brenchal too, but my favorites are the Afganimals. Frankly, I am OK with any team winning, even the girls. If they win, kudos for them for working the other teams!

I think this has been a very poorly designed race format this season. It has depended on transportation for most of the eliminations and the transportation in question was usually decided by your finish the previous week. I don't remember a U-Turn prior to leg 8, the express passes were basically worthless as they were never really needed as the tasks have been relatively easy, the was no fast forward leg, nothing really outstanding at all. I a disappointed, that just like the last time the cowboys were u-turned, the placement of the u-turn in the leg, left no room for any sort of redemption. The only thing that would have been stupidier was for a u-turn to lead to non-elimination leg.

I don't even care who wins, as I find them all pretty equally distasteful. The blondes are even worse than the Beekmans making the finals, "I'm just a girl", "don't beat up an old man" and "twisted knee". I was not surprised, but pleased nevertheless, to see the cowboys go out, heads held high having run a good, clean race. Their character shines through. I was surprised that Brandon honestly seemed to think they were out to get them.

I didn't think about Dave/Conners constant moan about the u-turn being a hidden whine that "you should have u-turned the cowboys." I do like that the u-turn there had another task prior to the pit stop. I guess I feel that the Cowboys got eliminated twice now in a pretty badly planned leg by the producers.

An amazing episode tonite. I was standing in this beautiful pit stop three weeks ago!!! We just finished a two week Spain and Portugal trip, and Seville was probably my most favorite place of all. We were at every place they were on this episode. Loved it! :)

Geez, if Rachel got $10 for every time she WHINED about just being a girl, don't pick on me, you're meeeeeeeeean........yada, yada, yada, she'd be well on the way to one million dollars.

SHUT UP!!!!!

That's our fav part of the race... When we get to see places we've traveled!

So sad to see the cowboys go home. I was hoping they would win.

Now I'm cheering for Brendan and Rachel. I wanted Dave and Connor to win if the cowboys couldn't, but after the way they've been behaving lately towards Rachel and Brendan they are my least favorite team left and I hope they don't win.

Rachel has really matured since her previous seasons and hasn't cried much at all, and hasn't been whiny except for last night when doing the bull racing. She has been very supportive of other teams and not nasty towards anyone that I can remember. And she and Brendan rarely have a cross word towards each other, they work great as a team.

I'd rather see the country girls win over Dave and Connor, and I don't care all that much for them either. Nor the Afghanimals, never have been fans of theirs although they are better than they have been on past seasons.

If Rachel has matured since she last graced the TV screen, then she must have had the maturity level of a fetus before this.

Now that the Cowboys are gone, there are no teams left that I want to see win, so I may just end my season right now!
I had to laugh at DH last night.:rotfl2: He is NOT a TV watcher, but for some reason has caught several episodes of AR this season. Last night when the Cowboys got eliminated, he was furious! I've never seen him get so into TV before......:goodvibes
