I wasn't the OP, but I too found it weird and annoying. It just came off really cheesy, not to mention the fact that it just seems so full of yourself and entitled to "pray to God" out loud, in a monastery over something like this. It's not like it's life/death it's a fricken game. It was just pretty off-putting to me.

Was he praying to win?

I'm going to go back and listen.

However, I do have to say I pray at every church and holy site I've ever visited. Of course, I'm not praying to win anything

It's not the first time that Brendan and Rachel's faith has been highlighted this season. I'm not 100% sure, but I thought that he was encouraging Rachel with a you can do it, with God's help, mentality. I have no issues with anyone relying on a higher being to help them through times when they are discouraged. I just find it curious as to why AR would showcase it.

Brendon doesn't pray out loud in the episode. We also can't tell how long he's actually praying because of edit.

Dave and Connor are not gentlemen IMO. The fact that they ridiculed a woman's looks proves it. Ridicule them over game style, fine, but nothing personal.

Agreed. They're very rude. I can't stand them. Or the Country Singers - all four of them are very catty.

Weirdly, the Afganimals don't seem to bug me as much as the other 4. They at least are doing it because they think they can beat the other teams - that's strategic.

I'm really hoping that the Afganimals UTurn Dave & Connor next week. I think that would be hilarious.

Looks like it's once per race. So only the Country Singers, Afganimals, & Cowboys can use it. But I believe they can U-Turn any team.

A team can only use their U-Turn power once per Race and only one team may be affected by the same U-Turn during a leg.

I particularly do not like the ridiculing by Dave and Conner. Benchel isn't the FIRST team to use a U-turn. Why the nasty response constantly? The Cowboys are gentlemen. I expected the same from Dave and Conner.

I was so disappointed in tonight's show. The behavior of the "accidental alliance" was so childish. Dave and Connor are so immature. The "animals" are feeding right along. I would laugh by behind off if they get eliminated. You can't keep helping and giving answers to other teams and not expect them to beat you.

I totally understand where you are coming from however... Brandon and Rachel are not exactly acting the nicest either... The "Dave is old and slow" comments and other remarks they have made make it difficult to be sympathetic to them.. She has been a whiney cry baby at times and as for him, how can he say that it was funny that Dave's favorite moment was catching up to them on the train but yet when Brandon realized they were separate from the rest of the teams at the oldest bridge clue he started whining. Don't even get me started on the writing in the gondola that he did.. That was ridiculous and immature.

She's whiny over her issues not anyone else's game play. And Dave and Conner looked pretty excited about catching up with them. The Accidental Alliance sure had a good time laughing and making fun. Rachel did not ridicule them nor did she comment on their physical look. That's the difference. I don't understand it. I wouldn't want to be in a race with bullies.

And Dave commented on her being scary looking BEFORE the uturn. It's not gentlemen behavior. He's much older and he should know better.



And the weird thing, Dave and Conner are making people defend Brenchel when they may not be rooting for them. It's a game. Sore. Not a good look on anyone.

I like the Afghanimals, Dave/Conner, and the Cowboys. That would be my top 3. The other two teams can go.
