ALOHA! The Polynesian Resort Information Thread: Summer 2011 Edition!

I talked it over with my bff and she said as long as she's not sleeping on the floor, all's good so I think I may see a switch back to the POLY in the near future!
and actually....thinking of just booking Normal garden view and upgrading our dining to deluxe instead of club level....now if we get a little pixie dust, and an upgrade to CL, well, I'd take that! but I am thinking we'd enjoy some of the more special dining with the Deluxe pkg.

That's where I stand right now, anyway!

I was SO happy to wash my foot, and shave my legs It is heavy, but it IS very comfortable.

Oh I bet. That would drive me bonkers not being able to wash my foot. Michael's boot was very heavy as well. Matter of fact I still have the boot and his crutches. I don't know why as his foot doesn't fit anymore. In just a few more days you will be lounging out in CL and enjoying yourself.

It is a good nap day. I'll be jealous of you when you're there in the thick of all the Christmas decorations, Candlelight Processional, storytellers, and of course that wonderful gingerbread house at the GF. We're going a little earlier than we normally do because it was the only time we could get the Poly at a discounted rate. But any chance you get to visit Disney is good right?

Well, we're in !! Just changed from the YC to our fav resort, the Poly ! Our DS is an intern, and the Poly was originally NOT on his list. But he just received a new list, with a better discount, and we are on to the Poly. We will be there Dec 3 thru the 10th, and it will be our first non August WDW vacation. We have tickets to MVMCP on the 7th, and can't wait. Hope to see all of you there !!

As I write this I see out the window what I dread most yes my friends I see SNOW!How can this be it's still October not even Halloween!Anyway I keep on dreaming of our trip in January can't come quick enough after this night.

I don't think you'll regret going with the Poly.....it's such an awesome resort....and the DlxDDP is great too .

Hi Mickey Nut Thanks... your reviews are the ones I often go to when I need to remind myself why the POLY is so loved I decided to keep club level with basic ddp and garden view.....i chose to keep club level over non-club in order to give the teens and adults a place to chill away from the room if we want space to relax....the snacks and drinks will be a welcome extra too with 2 boys with us! I love the basic ddp with club level, it is the perfect amount of food for us...and I think dlx would have been just too much food in the end and taken away from the short 5 days we have in the parks.....I am happy I switched back, and I am very much looking forward to my stay next October....now I just have to save extra hard to make up the $800 difference (btwn POFQ and Club Level)

My car door was frozen this morning. Snow predicted for tomorrow night too, they are talking Nor Easter

I just keep saying to myself: 14 more days until the Poly....14 more days until the Poly...14 days!

No fair!!!! I gotta sit through this whole winter before I get to the Poly!!! My car door was frozen shut this morning as well...it's far too early for this stuff!

Hi chimo . Thanks about my reviews.....I just love the Poly and everything it offers, so it's hard when we do go to other resorts because I always think about the Poly . You make some very good points regarding CL.....we have 2 teens and CL would be so convenient for them (as well as DH and I), so I think sticking with CL and regular DDP is a great choice .

I agree......it's only October, so if snow comes this early, there's no telling what we're in for in the months to come .
