Just tried the AK, spoke to luggage services at DVC village, spoke to Michael, there is no beige fridge left. Same with Jamie at AK luggage services. He transferred me to housekeeping, they looked & said there has been no beige fridge there in the past month but gave me the number to try in the morning to speak to lost & found, they will be in tomorrow morning at 8:30.

I just looked at the first page of these postings and the fridge is described as cream colored with Newtech on the handle.

Edited to add: Probably the reason why a "beige" fridge can't be found is that someone else is using it (someone from another swap).

I certainly hope with all your hard work, SusanWasHere's and Tiggs, that the fridge will be found.

Perhaps when the fridge is found,,,,, it should be written on the fridge that it is to based at the ALL Stars Resort (can't remember off hand if it is Music or Sports).

I do know that the fridge that we used from another swap - had a telephone number on the top written in marker. I would assume that it is the phone number of the person who is running that swap.

Again, hope the fridge is found so that you can all use it.

I really hope the fridge can be located. It's great to see so many people pulling together to try and figure this one out.

If you need me to do anything let me know. If the fridge is found I'm going to have the next swapper in line write my contact information and it's home resort on it in permanent marker...hopefully they'll contact me if there is any question about where it belongs.

Aw, shucks. I AM motivated since I'm supposed be using it in 2 more swappers I have not heard back from Andre at the ASsports luggage but I will try to call him again tomorrow. I'm hoping it's because he's waiting for info from the transfer van person and not because he didn't find it.

Plus I've got the lost & founds at both AKL & POLY to hear from tomorrow as well. I'm considering this good practice for when I do the Kim Possible mission at EPCOT

ANd maybe when SusanWasHere arrives she'll have some pixiedust luck talking direct to luggage services at ASsports

I just thought of something, do you have SusanWasHere's actual reservation info......just in case she doesn't have a chance to check in here before she leaves....- perhaps you could leave a message telling her the fridge is cream with Newtech on the handles....I think she was missing this info. Also, since she is there until the 9th, perhaps the fridge might be returned while she is there (if someone else is using it right now).

I sure hope that the fridge my friend has was the right one since that is the one that has the signs on it (or did)..I'm pretty sure I saw a cream colored fridge (even though she thinks it was white)....I so wish I had asked her (before we left home) to take a pic. We didn't see them all that much while we were there as they each ended up with a "flu bug". We saw them only two days and it was at the beginning of our holiday. To my thinking, if it hadn't been the right fridge, I would have known cuz I printed all the info for both swaps that we were using and I had the info in my hands.


Let's all keep our fingers crossed the Susan is able to find the fridge upon her arrival.

ANdre is not working today, I spoke to Samantha in the sports luggage claim area, told her the story & that it is a Newtech cream colored. She said she would do some checking & call me.

Did not get a return call from POLY lost & found & I wasn't able to call AKL lost & found this morning.

Not looking too good. Hoping SusanWasHere has better luck since she's there.

Samantha from ASsports luggage called me back to confirm they can not locate a cream colored Newtech fridge. She did not know anything about the transfer van log that Andre was going to try to find. Andre will be back Friday.

I sent SusanWasHere a PM to see if she can talk to Andre tomorrow. And a PM to Hollybearsmom who used the fridge before JJameson asking her if she still had JJameson contact info to send it in a PM to Tiggs.

Hi TWTD & Tiggs,

I was just thinking......dangerous sometimes...

COuld we not prepare a Lost Poster that we could fax down to the All Star Resorts with a description of the fridge, color, make, description of signs.....

It could be like a Wanted Poster with contact information in case it is found.

My thoughts are that while you guys are calling & checking luggage services...the fridge is probably being used by someone who is visiting one of the resorts. When they leave, they will drop the fridge off at the LS and no one will remember that we were looking for it. We could send a covering letter stating that we do no wish to take up their time answering our calls & having them constantly calling us... This way, they could have a description and know who to call.....

Tiggs, did JJoplin ever send you a pic of the fridge. I pm'd her to see if she did and if so, could she forward a copy of the pic. Did you have another e-mail address for her?

Anyways, what do you think about this idea as a last resort?

I haven't received any pictures of the fridge yet.

Susan made made up a sign to give to each of the three All Star resorts and was going to request that they call her if it's found at any time. So I'd say she was thinking right along your lines and has taken care of the "wanted" posters. Sadly I think it's safe to say our fridge has disappeared...there really aren't many other avenues that I can think of looking in.

I wonder if house keeping threw the fridge out not knowing it was going to luggage services. Wondering if they thought it was unwanted and was left behind for disposal. Did anyone already talk to house keeping at Sports...I wonder if they are the missing link to this puzzle. We have the date and the room number along with a detailed description of the fridge including the model number which should cover what they'd need to know.

Someone knows what happened to it....even if they threw it out at least we would know to give up the hunt!

After talking to all the nice people working in lost & found, housekeeping and luggage services, I seriously doubt they would throw out a mini-fridge but thats JMHO.

Anyway, I spoke to Maria over at the AKL in lost and found. She has worked the last 12 days, checked her log, there has been no minifridge showing up unclaimed over there.

Poly lost & found did not cmb, they are closed Fri/Sat & will return Sunday so I'll try them once more just so we know for sure it's not over there.

Samantha is working luggage services at sports today. Andre comes in at 1pm, I will try to call him later but I'm working this afternoon so I may not get the chance. Either way, I told her SusanWasHere is staying on site now and will be paying a visit to their area with a written description of the fridge and who to contact in the event it turns up.

If J.Jameson would check her PM's and PM Tiggs14 what she did when she finished with the fridge it would certainly help. I'm thinking she no longer checks the site since she has less than 40 posts and her vacation ended. Maybe if Hollybearsmom kept the contact info for Jameson she will PM it to Tiggs & Tiggs can get in touch with her.

I'm sure the fridge will hit the luggage rooms in a bit. I would think that someone is on vacation and using it right now. Hopefully, their vacation will be over and the fridge is returned to LS while Susan is there.

I posted the person who used the fridge after me cuz she supposedly had taken a picture and was going to post but didn't get around to it.
I really could kick myself (or hurt myself trying) that we didn't take a pic while our friends were using this fridge.

My only concern is that by the time the fridge is returned to LS, our swap will have been forgotten in the memories of the CM's. There are only so many times that we can call them.

Lets hope with the information that Susan physically gives them, it will help to locate our little fridge.

I think it's a good idea if Tiggs wants to start a thread.

ANyway, I was able to speak to ANdre at luggage services ASsports. He did check the log on June 14, found no record of Jameson or a mini-fridge being transferred by bell hop that day. I did tell him that SusanWasHere is on site & will be bringing a written description of the fridge & who to contact if it does turn up. And that I will check in with him when we arrive in Aug to see if it turned up. He said they would be on the lookout for it.

So other than calling lost & found at Poly on Sunday that's about all I can think of to do. We'll just hope for the best that someone is using it from another swap in error and that it will turn up eventually.

This is a great idea Jan however I will be away all weekend...we're leaving very early tomorrow morning and won't be back until late Sunday night so I won't be able to monitor it if I start it now.

If anyone is available to monitor such thread over the weekend I have no issues with you posting it. I'll check back Sunday night or Monday morning and will post it then if it hasn't already been done.

I have a feeling SusanWasHere is since she's at WDW now
