I really feel that with all the checking that has been done (without anyone finding the fridge), I am sure that there is a family at one of the resorts using the fridge. They probably don't even realize that they do not have the fridge that was for the swap that they were signed for.

If it was mistakenly used for another swap, the names that are going on it are names from that swap....it just follows...

The thing is how do we get it back for our swap???? Hopefully with Susan giving a description of the fridge, perhaps a CM will recognize it when it is returned to LS.... We can always hope!

Well I hope you're right but with the last known person to use it not returning the PM's sent or even the phone calls from Tiggs14, on top of having seen their pretrip post stating that they would be driving their own car to WDW...I'm wondering if the fridge is still at WDW anymore

But thinking positive (like weewuvdisney) if it does turn up, I am sure a CM will notify Tiggs14. SusanWasHere left the description & how to contact Tiggs14 on the signs she printed & left this week. And I will check with luggage services when we arrive in August. Maybe it will still turn up

Hello everyone! Well, I'm back! Had an amazing time as always, but unfortunately - no fridge I brought my papers to the luggage services of the All-Stars (I had no clue they were so close to each other, lol) and talked to tons of luggage people. I did meet up with one of the luggage managers - Juan - and was quite happy to see he still had my description paper the next day on his desk He kind of got in on the mission and made tons of calls - to Poly, AKV, and all the All-Stars. He said no one had the fridge. He even called me in the room after a couple of days to tell me it still hadn't been found. And he said the room number and name/date we had didn't actually line up with guest services so I really have no idea what happened! I was hoping to have good news coming back, but no luck. So who knows - maybe at some point it will and they do have my phone number. If I ever hear anything - I'll let you know!

It really irritates me that one person chose to be this selfish and irresponsible and ruin the swap for so many others! We had the swap from 05/14-05/18. At that time it was clearly marked as the free values fridge swap, and on the top it had a plastic see thru fed-ex type envelope with several large sized index cards that could be filled with the next swapper's information.

I am another one who is upset with myself that I did not take a photo of the fridge. I went back through my vacation photos in hopes it could be seen in one of my pics, but no luck.

ICAM - but I think by now we've all figured out what happened to the fridge And it sounds like you were very conscientious when you used it so don't be too hard on yourself

Not cream colored? We've all been talking about a cream colored fridge with Newtech on the handle. Can you post a picture to the thread (I wouldn't know how to do it but maybe you do?)

OMG!!!!!

When I asked my friend (who had used this fridge and put the signs on that I had made), she said she wasn't sure but thought it was white. She wasn't sure though. She and another family member had been sick during their time there and she really didn't remember.

I guess that somehow a switch was made before we were there at the end of Feb. beginning of March. When our friends arrived, someone from Luggage Services delivered the fridge to them (they never even requested that). The fridge did have their name on it so I guess the switch was made way before then.

Oh what a mess!

I guess the cream fridge has been gone for a long time - no wonder it wasn't found. All along, we have had another fridge and didn't know it.

Anyone starting a fridge swap needs to make sure that they find a way to differeniate their fridge from the others. Either using signs or whatever.....right from the get go before it gets confused with any others.

I feel really awful about this.

We were told luggage services had a white fridge...do we know if this white fridge had a purple sign on the side of it. I've got to put the boys to bed now but once I'm done I'll read back in the tread to see if I can find out where the white fridge was located. We could then call that resort and ask them if they have a white fridge with a purple sign on the side that says Free Values Fridge Swap.

If the fridge was swapped with anothers before it was labelled it is completely possible our description of the fridge is wrong. Thanks for posting everyone...

The fridge should have two more signs like the purple one. They are different colors. They were supposed to be put on the front and right sides as well.
