Normally the fridge has to be moved by the swappers because fridges seem to disappear when they are left for luggage services to move. Since you are moving rooms and all of your belongings will be moved I'd think it would be okay. If the fridge doesn't make it over you'll need to follow up on it right away so that it can be located. At the end of the beginning / end of the swap you'll need to move it on your own. Luggage services will loan you a wheeled trolley to move it with making it very easy to move.

Really Important Update for Swap Users...

The fridge is currently lost. The past two swappers have been unable to locate the fridge. I will update this thread as I hear more but for now you may want to make alternative arrangements if having a fridge is really essential to you.

For those of you that have put time into trying to locate the fridge...thank you and I'm really sorry it didn't work out for you. A swap is only as strong as the swappers and sadly due to a swapper not following the laid out rules our swap may be ending permanently

Perhaps someone is using right now. Perhaps they didn't know the name of their swap and was given the wrong one and they didn't know the difference (I hope the signs with the swap name are still on it).

Let's hope it is found soon!!!!

Does anyone that previously used the fridge know the brand name? I called all 3 All-Stars yesterday looking for it and they asked if I knew the brand. I'm heading down Thursday and am thinking of I had more to go by, it might help the fridge to turn up! Any descriptive info would be great!

I had reserved this fridge for a friend in Feb/Mar. I will ask her if she remembers the brand.

I made three signs on the fridge that were put on the fridge. They were large print, llaminated and taped on the fridge with the name of the swap on it.

Probably the fridge was given to someone from another swap who didn't remember the correct name of their swap.

Perhaps you could ask LS to put it aside for you if it goes into their luggage room between now and when you arrive?

The few times that I had to call to track down this fridge, I found most of the CM's were helpful.

Well, I checked and she doesn't remember the brand. All she remembers is that it was small and white. I'm sure that is the description of the majority of the fridges.


Tiggs - if I remember correctly, the person after us (or 2nd person) was supposed to send you a picture. Perhaps we can figure out who it was and pm or e-mail them to see if they still have it?
