So I've been trying forever to find the threads about All Inclusive vacation suggestions, but no matter how I word my search, I am not getting any results.

With that said, DH and I have our 4th Disney Cruise scheduled for this June. However, DH would like to vacation at an all-inclusive. I would love to have some suggestions from those of you who have been. We would like to go somewhere that has excellent snorkeling and beautiful clear, calm water like that at Disney's Adult Beach on Castaway Cay.

Any suggestions?

Sandals does a good job of the all-inclusive thing. We just got back from St. Lucia and found excellent snorkeling and SCUBA. Jamaica is also nice and we'll probably go back there for Christmas. My only complaint with them is the food is not that terrific. Understandable I guess when guest can eat all they want anytime, but I'd be willing to pay more for outstanding food.

We visited the Sandals on St. Lucia in 2006 and found the food to be great! Maybe things have changed....

I use apple vacations, or cheapcaribbean.com The all-inclusives will be described as such.

In the dining section of the resort details...check the restaurant choices, and be sure their are restaurants, and not just buffets. The buffets are nice enough, but would get old after a few days, IMO. We usually try to plan a different restaurant for each night, and save the buffets for our check-in evening, and for breakfast.

It wasn't awful, just nothing really great. At the signature restaurants the entrees appeared to be pre-plated and just warmed up to order. Understandable, but I'd like better.

Another vote for Apple Vacations.

I'd price out the resorts in Cancun and the Mayan Riviera. Iberostar has an awesome reputation.

Our faves:
Sandals Grand Antigua
Couples Negril, Jamaica
Iberostar in Riviera Maya, Mexico

Sandals does do a good job. DH and I have been to many, but IMOP, they are pricing themselves right out of competition.

DH and I are going to Jamaica in a few months for our anniversary . We looked first at Sandals and for some of the Sandals resorts, it is almost $1000.00 more for the week.

Depending on when you are going, Secrets is building 2 new resorts in Montego Bay. They are supposed to open in March and look very nice.

I agree Couples is nice too. Not as fancy as Sandals , but good food and great service.

I am so excited we are going to our first all inclusive resort this year. This is an adults only resort. It is in the Riveria Maya. The name is Catalonia Royal Tulum. It is a smaller resort. We got great pricing flying into Cancun. We booked it through expedia. I didn't know if you have any kids going. The pictures look gorgeous.

We did an all inclusive vacation at an Iberostar in the Dominican Republic. It was immaculate! You could eat off the floors, though we didn't lol

We stayed at the Catalonia Riviera Maya 2 years ago, and the Catalonia in Dominican Republic. Both were nice:)

Have fun

We've done all-inclusive at Sandals Royal Bahamian (GORGEOUS!!!) and a couple times at the Grand Oasis in Cancun (gorgeous too!)

I absolutely LOVE to cruise, it's my favorite vacation. But that being said, there is definitely something to NOT have to pay for a SINGLE THING at an A.I. No worries about tipping, restaurants, drinks, entertainment, is a wonderful, VERY relaxing feeling!!!!

Our oldest son and daughter in law loved Namale Resort in Fiji.

Hey...when are you going? We are booked there May 8th -16th! Can't wait! We booked through LocoGringo.

We just booked Couples Tower Isle (in Ochos Rio, Jamaica) after doing at least 15 hours of research. But no children are allowed, so I'm not sure if that option would work for you. I've PM'ed with a lot of people who have stayed there, and they all rave about the on-resort and off-resort snorkeling and diving.

I don't want to hyjack the thread, but are there any all inclusive places that are in the US? We don't really want to get passports, it adds to the budgt vacation. :lmao:

We did the Iberostar in Riveria Maya (I believe it was something like Pariso Del Mar).....anyway....it was amazing.

I also vote for apple vacations . com. If you click on the supersaver link, you will see some amazing deals. In October, my parents went to Punta Cana, 5 apple resort, all inclusive, air from Philadelphia for a total of 1099.00 for the both of them. THis was for 7 nights. It was a last minute special (booked about 45 days prior).

We've stayed at Sandals and Beaches. I'm total blow away by the food comments. We always had fabulous meals. The buffets were good buffets but the restaurants were great. You can also hop to other Sandals resorts near by. We stayed at St Lucia Grand and hopped to Halcyon and Regency for different dining options. Halcyon for seafood and Regency for French. The Grand had Italian, English Pub and Seafood (Barefoot by the Sea). When it comes to English and French I'm no expert. Italian food I know. I come from an Italian family, second generation, I know Italian. I also come from RI. We have some of the best Italian restaurants in the county. Not just our Federal Hill gourmet area but small Mom & Pop true Italian fair fresh as could be restaurant.
I've also stayed at Beaches Sandy Bay Negril Jamaica. Same thing there food was great. You could hop to Beaches Negril and Sandal right next door.
Now service was fantastic. The staff made me feel so welcome and truly wanted to serve. Now if you like Disney service you will find this a step above.
We went snorkeling, Hobby Cat sailing, and tubing. Plus took a excursion we booked though Sandals to Soufriere, the Twin Peak and an active volcano via a Catamaran Again it was first class.
I did visit Couples Negril (my daughter was married there). My further son-in-law stayed with me the night before the wedding and commented that Beaches was far superior to Couples for dining options.
I've never stayed at any other all inclusive but I have no problem highly recommending Sandals (couples only) or Beaches (family).

Not many...I believe there are a few in Key West. When I priced them a few years ago, they were extremely high. Much more than the $75 it costs to get a passport.
