The departure was not fun. Four out of four girls were crying at some point during the morning. I told Jill that next time we do this, it will be with me coming early with Brooklynn or Bella or both and then Mommy comes to join us, then we all leave together. It is hard enough to leave a Disney trip as it is, and then to part with your little girls - Jill with Brooklynn and me with Bella - that was hard on all of us. It will be good for each of the girls to be on their own this week and get to have some special attention, but the parting itself was not easy.
After they left, Brooklynn and I went over to Epcot. My thought was to take one more walk around World Showcase and then monorail over to Magic Kingdom. When we got to Epcot, though, it was so hot. My legs were already tired from the previous days, and my spirit was drained from the day's emotions. We ended up just staying toward the front doing some different things in Innoventions and then going only as far as Mexico and Norway to ride Three Caballeros and Maelstrom.
After Epcot, we took the monorail over to Magic Kingdom. We arrived just ten minutes shy of five o'clock, so I wanted to stay up front for the flag retreat ceremony. We were standing over to the side where I had Brooklynn shielded by the sun as best I could, and one of the Dapper Dans came over and befriended me. He 'chatted me up' for a couple of minutes, and then he spoke to Brooklynn for a minute. The next thing I knew, he was asking her if she knew how to say the Pledge of Allegiance. She said yes, and then he asked her to come and help him say it to the audience.

I got my usual crummy shots from the side view, where they told me to stand, but the Photopass person gave me a card, so there should be some good shots coming.
A little bit later, in front of the Carrousel, the Pledge girl also pulled the sword out of the stone!

She was on a roll! It was obviously just sword pulling time, though, because there was a Photopass person there, too, and there was more sword pulling done over the next few minutes. Still, it was cool for her to get to do it once.
We met up with a gang of DIS folks later and rode some rides. We filled a boat on Splash Mountain. We stopped about 3-4 times during the ride, but started back up immediately. The last time we stopped, though, we sat for a while. Finally, the lights came on. In time, the music stopped, and we were walked off the ride. Happydog's boys were having a ball checking out all of the scenery where we were stopped, which was where Brer Rabbit was sitting at his door. You would know the one time I had the chance to get some still shots on that ride, I didn't have my camera or phone with camera - I had left it with Anita.
This morning, I am letting Brooklynn sleep until she wakes up, so it could be noon before we make our way out of this room.

She is one tired girl! We ended up closing the park, see the 11:00 MSEP, and not getting in until 12:20.
Will check in later. I have to get this room straightened up from where we came in and dumped all of our stuff last night. Well, make that this morning. Have a great day, all!
