AKV pool?

I am trying to decide what resort to stay in......We are NOT doing alot of park hopping....
We will be relaxing mostly.....one night at MK one day at Universal.

How is the pool at AK???

How about Beach club? to hard to keep track of a 7 year old at beach club pool???

Haven't stayed at AKL yet (will in a couple of weeks), but visited and walked around the pool. It's really pretty, looks like a natural watering hole, and you can see most of it in one look.

Stayed at YC 4 times and love, love, love the pool. But stayed Spring Break one year and the pool was so crowded it felt unsafe (and def. not fun). Our DD loves that pool -- there's so much to do there. We like to swim around with her, though. If you want to relax on a lounge chair while your child is swimming, it's not a great pool since it's really spread out. You wont be able to keep an eye on him/her unless you really limit the area you child can play in. There is no way you can see even 1/2 of the pools from one place, so it may be a really bad choice for you. Also, my DD is a very strong swimmer (swim team for years, etc.) but I wouldn't let her swim alone in that pool.

Pool at AKL is great: here's an image gallery of it.

Your subject title says "AKV" pool, which isn't completed yet. It will be completed when the Kidani Village portion of the Animal Kingdom Villas is completed in May.

Re: Stormalong Bay, it's a great pool, and huge! I've never had to keep track of a 7-yr old, so I can't answer that question, but I've never found Stormalong Bay to be particularly relaxing. I'd stick with the quiet pool at the Beach Club for relaxation!

Animal Kingdom only has one pool at the moment, and even when the Kidani Village pool is opened, the resort still won't have a "quiet pool." For that reason, I think I'd go with Beach Club for your relaxing vacay.

Since you only going to the parks a couple of days - would go with SSR, OKW or AKL

the BC would be to tempting with Epcot right there - would probably go to the parks more often.
