Correction for tree320 -- The Mara is in Jambo House, not Kidani where you will be staying. The walk between the two buildings takes about five minutes. There is also a shuttle you can use.

BTW if you are staying in Kidani then you can get your coffee & drink refills in the store just off of the lobby.

BTW Kim, all these threads got me thinking about CL now too...Been looking at the difference in points.. Not sure if were going to do the cruise or not...Its alot cheaper to do a RC cruise in a balcony room for 5 nights compared to an IR on Disney...Bad news is that if we do the cruise then we'll only have either 3 or 4 nights in the parks.... Needless to say I'll be checking for airfares like crazy in the next few months.

Newbie to AKV here and getting excited!!!! I was able to find a photo of the hideaway bed in the one bedroom, but does anyone have any photos or can anyone let me know approximately the size of the sleeper chair? Dh thinks we will be find in a one bedroom, but I am worried with the kids getting older. DS14 is about 6 feet tall.

I'm not able to look back at the moment. When are you traveling/planning to book? We'll be in a 1BR villa in seven days. I can try to get measurements for you. Although we are a family of short folk. So what's comfy for us might not work for you. The sleeper chair is probably wide enough if he doesn't toss and turn a lot. But the length might not work. We're a family of six (the kids are 10, 9, 6, and 1). The 1BR is more than enough now. But once the kids are older, we'll need more space. The second bathroom at Kidani can't be beat.

It's just a lil gift shop, with sundries some t-shirts, souveniers...Oh & they have some food there too. Packaged goods to take back to the room..I think like donuts and stuff if I remember correctly...Place is AWESOME... Your going to love it. I haven't eaten at Jiko, but heard nothing but great things. The other 2 TS. Boma's & Sanaa, although very different, both equally excellent... Have fun.

We are in Kidani Village and I have a few questions:

1. We are in a studio, is there a washer/dryer available without going over to Jambo House?

2. Is there a Resort Airline Check In Desk at Kidani or only at Jambo?

3. What time does the store in the lobby open in Kidani?

So we are staying 1 night at Club Level. It will be 3 adults, 1 child and 1 infant in the room. We are staying club level so we can try out the Sunrise Safari. It is a surprise for my family so super excited to see their faces. For the next two nights, we need a different room set-up. With that in mind, we were given three options:

1. Rent two rooms at Jambo savanna view
2. Rent a two bedroom suite at AKV-Kidani savanna view
3. Rent a 1 bedroom suite at AKV-Kidani savanna view

The difference between the 1 and 2 bedroom is about $400.00 total. The makeup of our party is my husband, myself, my mother-in-law, my 4 year old son and my 19 month old son.

I'm thinking for 2 nights, a 1 bedroom should be fine. We would give my mother-in-law the bedroom, my husband and I would take the couch, 4 year old would sleep on chair and we would ask for a crib or use a pack and play for the infant. Is that too tight?? Worried it might be. We aren't in our rooms a whole lot though...we usually are out and about at parks except at nap time when one of us would bring the baby back for a nap while the others went to the pool with the 4 year old. Opinions?

We'll be there as well as April, but always paranoid about posting specifics of when we'll be away on vacation, for all the house robbers that do research on Disboards! But a general posting of April 2014 for Kidani 1BR would be good if vague is allowed!
