Congrats on the upgrade to CL

I have been researching what it means to stay in CL, let me tell you the more I read the more I know I am going to be addicted to it once I try it!

Check out this thread for CL room tips (these teach you about the many differences are):

And this thread of pictures of CL lounges and what not at all the resorts:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1944096

I found a few nice pictures in this thread of what AKL CL Lounge looks like and the food they serve.

...there are elevators in various locations of the premises. For instance, there is an elevator about halfway down the 'arm' (or hallway) of Giraffe Trail, which allows you to go all the way down to the first floor directly to the pool area. There is another elevator near the beginning of the 'arm' of Zebra Trail which also allows guests to go directly to the pool, the arcade, The Mara, and the like. The only elevators that allow access to the CL level are the 4 elevators that are to the right of the lobby as you enter AKL. Remember, the lobby is actually on the THIRD floor - the restaurants and the outside area are really on the ground, or first floor.....
. Ok that helps a lot! I didn't realize the lobby is on the 3rd floor. So when you enter the building you need to go the the 3rd floor to check in or do you enter on the 3rd floor?

Congrats! :woohoo::yay::woohoo:

I'm not sure what "Upgraded CL" would be.... possibly the suites? :confused3

Have an amazing trip and make sure you post here when you return home! :goodvibes

When you walk into the lobby, you are on the 3rd floor! :thumbsup2

As you walk into the lobby, prepare to have your breath taken away! :goodvibes

Just another positive vote on the Sunrise Safari if you stay club. Yes, some of he animals weren't out yet, like the giraffes, but while we were there, the full set of rhinos came walking to their spots, like a dozen of them putting on a personal show for us. It was amazing. I would still recommend another FP+ ride later in the day to try to catch any animals not out yet.

....you walk directly onto the 3rd floor as you enter the lobby doors. As you approach the center lobby seating area, the check-in counter is to the left, the elevators are to the right, and just past that is a railing where you can look down onto Boma....there is also a set of stairs [right there]to take you down to the first floor...

....it was also the first time we have seen the lions up and about, not just stretched out on the rocks, sunning themselves....

We check in at Kidani in 8 days!!! This is our first stay AKV and my DH just said all he needs is to know where to get his coffee in the morning and I don't know! I hope someone can help me please.

There are coffee makers in all the rooms, but you can go to The Mara....very convenient, especially if you are on Zebra Trail....

Correction for tree320 -- The Mara is in Jambo House, not Kidani where you will be staying. The walk between the two buildings takes about five minutes. There is also a shuttle you can use.

Oh that would be sooo KEWL :cool1:, every time I have been on safari the lions and lionesses are sleeping up in the rocks so far it's hard to see them.
