Rented an ECV part of the time when we were there there at Xmas, and explained carefully to 7DS why he couldn't ride it with me (or by himself, for that matter). He did his best to keep up walking, but it was rather hard to ECV that slowly and stay "together". I'm worried when we go in August that he'll be even slower with the heat/humidity (only the two of us are going). We have been walking together for exercise, but is there anything else I can do to keep us together? Somehow leashing a 7 yr. old to my ECV seems a little cruel!

I don't have any advice for you, just some "Fast Foot" pixie dust for him to help him keep up.
You are right to not let him ride on it. It's too dangerous. maybe you need to rent a really rundown ecv so it doesn't go too fast (Just kidding).
