Something Wicked this MAY Comes! 18 nights @ RPR & SFR. An April/May 2025 TR

Nwahahaha they are absolutely a need, not a want!

lol....it`s true!! How we survived for years without those little magic pens we`ll never know.

I was grateful for it when we went out for Mother`s Day dinner last month!!! It is a little cult like how obsessed everyone is with it over here now :worship:

Ooh, forgotten hits of the 70s!

I used to love this British band, Supertramp. They had a hit called “The Logical Song,” I think. 🤔

I can’t believe it’s almost time for you to go. 🎉🎉🎉

When the sleeps are in single digits, it’s so exciting! 🍾🍾

Love, love love Supertramp!!!!

🎶 Take a jumbo, cross the water, like to see America 🎶

We love Breakfast in America, Take the Long Way home and so many more of their songs including the Logical Song!! One of the many CD`s we have and still play and yes I always feel so old to think we both actually still have all our albums from way back when, we did treat ourselves to a "modern" record player a couple of years back, apparently it`s very retro, who knew!!! 70`s and 80`s music is so hard to beat, so many classics that you forgot you loved!!

It is all of a sudden just around the corner, yes, very exciting knowing this time next week.....we`ll be warm!!!!!!! Cannot believe how cold it still is here, but heat is not too far away now 🥰🥰🥰

Hope your weather is much better too Maria :sunny:

I want to say huge congratulations to our amazing son Kyle and his friends who all completed the Marathon today!!! It was a tough one with the St John`s Ambulance saying the warm weather made it their busiest event in a long time.

We saw many collapse due to heat and exhaustion but so many wonderful athletes stopped to help folks across the finish line where possible.
So watching Kyle on screen crossing that line and waving happily to the camera was wonderful to see!!!!

Salon appointment yesterday and well, I went short again, very short!!
No ponytails for me this trip nor probably the next one either, but I like it, Tom likes it and it will be so much quicker to wash, dry and style in Orlando. I also love the colour of the highlights!!

After a morning of pampering yesterday including an Indian head and neck massage, waxing which is quite relaxing I came home to do some stuff for the trip.....turns out I had nothing to do apart from wash a few last minute things. So we had a very lazy Saturday evening and ended up watching movies, threw together some home made pizzas and not doing much more today!!
Tonight we pack 🥴

Right now, apart from packing which is always fun.....we have nothing else to plan for this trip.

I think we are sorted with food options, we have a mix of old favourites and some new options and if we miss any, we can try them in September.

We are going to try and make this a very relaxing trip, we are not and have never been park commandos, so we still won`t make EE anytime soon, but we do plan to have a few drives around and will hopefully, definitely, probably and most likely visit St Augustine this trip, we both want to go back so much.

We have friends coming in from Ohio in the middle of our trip, D&J so we are meeting them for dinner one evening, looking forward to that a lot, other than catching up with friends who are there, we have no set plans at all which is usual for us, planning is not something we ever do.

I think we do tend to stick to some tried and tested favourite places for food, Strong Water is a must do, Jake`s is somewhere we plan to visit this trip, Orchids of course for sushi and maybe Bula Bar for a pool night.

So, we have plenty of options to choose from during our stay, not enough nights unfortunately to do and see everything.

We are excited to be back in our second home soon, it certainly feels like our home from home for sure. Plus we get to see old friends and new friends too and enjoy some Florida sunshine and heat and hopefully be able to write a decent TR afterwards!!!

So, that`s us almost ready to set off early hours tomorrow for the drive up to enjoy an overnight stay at the Radisson, our car service is booked and we plan to be there for lunchtime and enjoy our usual bottle of bubbly to start the trip in the hotel bar🥂🍾

Time to go start packing

(wish me luck 😉 )

Congratulations to Kyle! 🎉🎉🎉
Completing a marathon is a major accomplishment, of course you are so proud! I’m glad his race was before your travel.

You are as ready as can be, and I wish you safe travels and the most marvelous trip!! 🛩️🎢⛲

Hope you are grinning from ear to ear! There is something quite marvelous about the idea of playing things by ear on a vacation. Hope it’s a great one.

Congrats to Kyle hanging tough thru the race. He is a champion.

Grinning like a Cheshire Cat right now…….😁 Yes, playing by ear is how we play for sure!

Thanks, he did amazingly well, so proud of him.

We’ll definitely try to have a blast!!

Thanks Maria, if Easter hadn’t been so late our timing wouldn’t have worked out, but so glad we could see him today.

Thank you, I’m sure we’ll have an amazing trip :wave2:

Made it safely to the Radisson in good time, roads were clear and made it here just after 11am.

As Kyle had stayed in Manchester again last night, he met us here for lunch today, his hotel was only 15 minutes away from here, so it made sense to join us and it was so lovely seeing him and the medal.

He looks and feels fabulous after yesterday, so good to see.

After lunch we brought him up to the Executive Lounge for an hour or so, he just left to drive home, but he had the next two days off, although he didn’t need any recuperating time after all. Weather looks amazing so I think he’ll enjoy some time chilling in the sun, even if it is on his balcony.

For us, relaxing and chilling now. And hopefully get a good sleep tonight!!

Hope you’re all good ☺️

A BIG congratulations to Kyle! What an accomplishment! I bet you were a little concerned seeing the other racers having problems. Very scary! He looks so fit and happy in the photo with you guys. If I had run a race, I would be at home in bed taking pain meds, LOL.
Not having a schedule for your trip is the only way to go for us too. We do have things we like to do, but nothing set in stone. I know you will enjoy your trip, so have a ball!
PS: I love the new hair do - looks great and easy to care for!

Your hair is sassy and lovely! I think you are really going to enjoy easy care for the trip :D

Thanks Ruth, yes, it was horrible watching folks pass out and collapse, and hearing reports of it being like the Walking Dead through the course. But he did it!!

lol…..I’d be dead! I couldn’t run if my derrière was on fire!

Yes, no commando and no planning works for us, no stone etchings suits us.

Thanks, I do like it and it is so much easier to style!

And yes, we’ll do our best to have fun :wave2:

Indeed he does! Another medal for his burgeoning collection :)

For a minute I thot, wait, did I miss Kyle was coming along on the trip? Lol

His medals cover a huge area now, as they should be, out there with pride!

Oh we wished!! Nah, he’s having too much fun doing other stuff now to come with mum and dad. It was weird him going home while we stayed lol…..

We’re here :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yep, old favourite King Suite…….

Definitely some changes here, staff more than anything, but still feels like home.

We had the best travel day!!

Flight only took 8hrs 11 minutes, it flew past, pardon the pun! Landed very early, Global Entry was faster than lightning and car rental desk was easy peasy.

Warm welcome at the hotel with some lovely treats laid out for us, enjoyed some food in Club lounge, now we’ve just opened a bottle of wine that was in the room for us with some other goodies and we’re going to try and stay awake till 10pm 😴

Not looking possible right now, but we’ll try.

It is so good to be back ❤️
