ADR System Upgrade - History

I just got off the phone with upgrading my resort and the girl I spoke with said that she checked my dates (May 11th-18th) and that I was able to book ANY ADRs now. I told her I had spoken with someone about a week ago and they told me I wasn't able to yet.

I know there have been updates on here as to when we can start booking...but she said she ran my dates and that I CAN book. I can't call yet to make sure...but has anyone else tried?

I am confused - if they ran your dates and said you could book - why in the world didn't you book them. I called and I am going April 6th and can't book yet.

it would just make more sence to open up a window now vs 3 days before Christmas... I mean really, this is just so frustration...

course, one thing is, they do not have to do any new training just to open up a few more weeks' window for reservations...it's not like they did a bunch of training to extend the previous ressies window until March 22, did they? I thought they just rolled the deadline out further.

So, we can hold out a little hope, anyway.

When I called today and asked about the Dec. 1st rumor, at first the CM said that they aren't ready yet (that's when she almost laughed at me) so I think she thought I was asking if the new system was ready to go up tomorrow... I tried to clarify myself several times, but she just kept saying to call back mid-December.

I made ressies today for CM and the CM checked, just to be sure, for other restaurants. Of course, he had no luck, but he told me the date was December 20th, not the 21st. I'm not sure anyone really knows the "real" date is!

I guess I'm just going to be following my orginal plan...call every day, several times!

Maybe when the hours are posted for May, the ADR's will open up more. Maybe. This is getting annoying now. No one can get a definite date....Ugh.

I didn't book because I was at work. I called on my break to upgrade to CSR and she told me I could book ADRs. I told her if I could get them in the system now, I would just wait until I got home. I work in a call center so waiting to speak with the ADR CSRs was just out of the question.

What is weirdest about it is that she told me I could have begun booking on Noevmber 12th!

Sounds like Nov. 12th was your actual 180 days date - and that the CM wasn't referring to anything regarding the system upgrade at all. That's the day you WOULD have been able to book if they weren't upgrading, so she was a bit clueless as to what's actually going on now!

I am waiting to book March 23-25.............called Disney Dining and was told to call back in two weeks. The CM I spoke to said they have not seen the new system and have not been trained. He thought in two weeks they would know when the new window would be open................

I can't imagine how busy it is going to be trying to get thru that first day. What a headache!

I just don't understand how they can let the "mums panel" publish one date (Dec 1st) if that is not correct. It seems so inefficient and misleading. I am getting so wound up about this - I really want to get all my ADR's made before we go on vacation on Dec 21st. I know noone else can make any either . . . but that doesn't help!!!

Looks like I will be making them from the hotel lobby in Las Vegas though if Dec 21st turns out to be correct!! Is there a particular phonecard you would recommend that I can get once we get to the US, rather than standing there feeding money into the pay phone?

I completely agree about the Mom's Panel. That's why I only ever called their information a rumor.

The more time that you spend studying Disney the more that you discover that they right never ever seems to know what the left is doing.

Maybe you guys will get lucky tomorrow morning, I have my fingers crossed for everyone calling.

I just got off the phone (again) checking and the CM said keep trying, your dates could open any time at all, they don't tell us when. (we're going April 21st) Just call and ask for your dates, sometimes, that's when we know it's available, when we check it for the first time for someone.

It doesn't sound like the CMs are always clued in.

Good luck to anyone trying to call in the AM. I'll be on hold with the rest of you and will be sure to post as soon as I know something.

Does anyone have a definitive answer on whether ADRs are opening for March 23-May? I have been away all weekend. Last week, there were rumblings (backed up by one of the Disney Moms) that these ADRs would open on Dec. 1.

Today one cm told me December 20th, later another said they didn't know and to keep trying because she thought my dates (april 21st-28th), could open at any time. Calling in the AM just in case.

I know it seems like the Dec 1st date is a rumor, but I will be setting an extra alarm so I can get up at 4am my time (7am eastern) just in case. I figure ten minutes of disrupted sleep won't be a big deal if I can't make the ADRs.
