ADR System Upgrade - History

I finally heard back about May hours from Disney. The reply also included some (not so new or exciting) info about the dining reservation system, since I told them in my email that I was concerned about not having the hours available when I can finally make ADR's. Here's their reply:

Dear Katie,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

1)While we sincerely appreciate your interest, the hours for May have
yet to be confirmed. They should be released in the next few days.

We thank your for your patience and understanding.

2)Due to system enhancements we are only able to book any dine
reservations from now through March 22, 2009. We will have our full 180

day availability beginning December 22, 2008. The exceptions are Chef
Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Victoria and Albert's, these
locations will continue to book 180 days out.

Although it is not currently possible for dining arrangements to be
made
online, guests are welcome to call 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463), to book

reservations for most of our dining experiences.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number
if
applicable on all correspondence.

Thank you!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sincerely,

Debbie Grant

I just LOVE the disclaimer at the bottom! :lmao: As if we didn't already know that their info was subject to change!! :rotfl2: --Katie

So, I am going with two lady friends of mine from work and am getting more annoyed about the no-ADR situation everyday. I want this to be a perfect trip for us all (who doesn't?) as they both have not been to WDW in years (one since she was a kid!).

Why, oh, why, Disney?!

Let's look on the bright side... December 22 (assuming we really can make 180 ADRS on that date) is only 19 days away!

well, I HOPE that is so! And would love to see the May calendar up, even if we can't book yet. At least I could plan more.

But it's all "subject to change without notice"...so unfortunately they might just push it all into January anyhow. However, if it's going to be delayed even more (the new system) then I could see them rolling the calendar out another month on Dec 22 (like through April 22.) But maybe not.:confused3

On the brighter side, I just called today to book 6 dinners in January 2009...just 47 days out. And I got 5 out of 6 first choices. Four of those were first choice restaurants & 1st choice times. One ressie I had to take a 2nd choice, and one ressie I got the restaurant but had to take a slightly earlier seating. But that worked out anyway based on the park hours that night. So, if there's still plenty of ressies available for January...in the midst of the 4/3 + $200 gift card time...well, we may still not have much prob even if we only get 90-120 days leeway. Now I'm sure the extra popular places like CM, Le Cellier & Coral Reef were probably booked. But still plenty of choices left.

I just booked a trip for June 12th - when can I call to book for the entire trip? I am confused over some of the things I have read.

Thanks in advance

It's 180 days, not six months. So, I believe it is December 14 if I did the calculation correctly.

I called for my May 11-20, 2009 trip and they said they are updating their system and to call back Dec. 22. My suggestion would be call later in the month. They said some restraunts you could book I don't remember all of them, but I know Chef Mickey's was one that they're accepting reservations for now.

The reservation system is being upgraded and no reservations can be made past March 22nd except CRT, CM and V&A which you can make at 180 (or 180 + 10). There is a sticky at the top of the Restaurant Board with all the updated information. Read the first page to get all the info you will need. The new system is not expected to be ready until mid January. :)

The sticky at the top of this thread is always the best place to check the current status of reservations. Currently, you cannot book beyond March 22 except for Chef Mickey's, V&A's, and Cinderella's Royal Table.

180 days out. Id call at 180 out too or you may not get what you want.

Not currently. Please see my remarks above.

It's CM, V&A, and CRT only for 180 days. Everything else is only up to March 22.

The sticky at the top of the thread always has the most updated, accurate information.

Dec. 22 was the date I was just quoted from the CM for the rest of my ADR's in June when I called today to book Chef Mickey's.

Does anyone know if/when you will be able to make online dining reservations..?? i havnt been on the disboards for a while.. currently addicted to facebook..:scared1: so i apologize if this question has been addressed. And if so, do DVC members get any perks..??

DisneyDine, the CM that has been giving us VERY accurate information says that mid to late January is the launch. (see page 1) Unfortunately you can get a variety, and not always correct information when you call the reservation line.

I would love if it was December, but my money is on DisneyDine's info. :)

I have just made an ADR for CM at the end of March. :woohoo:

I was told to call back in January for the rest. :scared1:

The new voice activated menu system was not keen on my "Beatles like" Liverpool UK accent. :confused3

My 180+10 day window opened up today for CRT and CM. I was all set to be on hold for a couple of hours. I went to bed with the phone and all the paperwork needed to make my ressies and woke up at 5:55 to make the call. Dialed at 6:00 and after listing to the prompts, I was immediately connected to a CM. Asked about CRT and got an 8:05 ressie!!:cool1: The whole process took 7 mins. I know its hard not to make the rest of our ADRs at this time, but at least there is an upside.

Is this right? I just called to book ADRs for April 10 - April 16, but was told they arent accepting any reservations for this time period yet.

And here, I thought I was late.

Whats up?
