Add on and 11 month booking

Sorry if this has been answered before. I did a search and came up with no results. If I buy 25 additional points at another resort, is my 11 month booking privileges only for those 25 points? For example, say I purchase 160 points at SSR, then buy 25 at AKL, will I be able to book all 185 points at AKL 11 months ahead?

At 11-months, you may only book a home resort using home-resort points. Thus in your example that would be 25 points.

At 7-months you can combine points to book at any resort, home resort or not.

You could turn that 25 points into 75 by banking and borrowing in a strategic manner. You would not have the 11 month window every year with them but would have it every couple of years.

That makes sense. I'm wondering whether it makes sense to buy 25 points.
