Add discount after booking reservation?

Hey all, like the title says my girlfriend and I have booked a room at the CR in April. What I am wondering is if Disney releases their 20-30% off discount later on will they be willing to add the discount onto our reservation? Or is it a cancel it and rebook it to get the savings? I'm also concerned about dining reservations if we have to go this route. Thanks!

They can just add it on without cancelling, bearing in mind that it is based on what is available WITH the discount. Just because you have a rack rate room booked, doesn't mean that you'll be able to keep the same room if it is not offered, or is all booked up with the discount by the time you call to apply it. But they can move you around without cancelling and rebooking as well.

Any dining ressies would stay, regardless of cancelling or not. They are separate.
