Adam and Katie's wedding PJ -10/2/2010 SBP/SCP need floral advice!!

ask and you shall receive! yay i'm excited for you and I can't wait for pics!

yay four days!!!

Hey Katie-random thought about the dress...if you are interested in seeing what it looks like more fitted...go to the store in danvers, they should have it in a size 8 ( potentially a 10 ) thats what all of their samples were...that way maybe you will be able to see what its like and then explain to the seamstress what you saw when it was fitted....

other than that since my wedding isnt in disney (tear) i've got nothin...

I did think of that but i'd feel bad if i went in there and wasted those ladies time. They'd think they'd be making a sale and i already have the dress.... Believe me i almost pulled into their parking lot PLENTY of times on my way home from work. lol

But thanks for thinking of me!

Great news on the seamstress! And four day work weeks are even better! I did that one year and it was awesome!

Hooray for booking your wedding/honeymoon stay soon!

Thanks Sara! I can't wait to have four day weeks. I wish i could've taken more time off in the summer but I wasn't allowed to because we had some employees leave. :( Anywho... its going to help me have some time to get some wedding stuff accomplished and will be nice to have a break. :thumbsup2

For you Home wedding girls, here is a topic we can all debate! HAIR!

I originally wanted half up and half down with my veil coming out from underneath the half up part.... like this (if you look on the wedding boards POTD and check out prettypeony's hair that was exactly what i wanted)

But DF really likes me with my hair up (why i dont know... i think i look better with it down but whatever) And the more i think about the big gap in time from the ceremony to dinner and DP I'm wondering if having it all up would be a better choice. I did some searching and i LOVED how DISer Lindsay22 had her hair and veil. So i found some pictures like hers....

What do you girls think? I dont really like my back... and even though i'll have the veil for the ceremony and the DP i wont be wearing it for the dinner and a few pictures. So the half down would cover that. But what if the curls start to fall out? And then I worry about the heat. They had some record heat this october so whose to day it won't happen next october.... do i really want my hair heating up my back? I'm kind of going back and forth on this.... what do you girls suggest?

I love those!! I definitely vote for wearing it up. You don't have to worry about it going flat or bothering you if it's super hot!!

I like the up-dos and if the DF likes it up that is a plus. I have been threatned if I wear my hair completly up so it isn't an option, haha.

Thanks for the input girls! I'm definatly leaning more towards the up do now. I'll just have to make sure its not on thetop of my head or plastered down with hairspray.... i just think those looks are prom-ish.

I am so stealing those photos for my hair which I still can't decide how to do but I am liking those a lot.

I am also going to vote for the up do! If you are worried about a "prom-ish" look,I am sure you can find other examples from magazines of more loose/casual up dos!

what about these styles? these are similar to what you have posted....these are ones ive kept in my folder ( hair twins too lol) because nobody will let me wear my hair down since i know ill end up with my hair in a pony tail as soon as i get to the reception.....one thought i had to totally avoid prom hair is to keep the front swept to one side instead of pulled straight back...it gives is it a softer feel....well totally a matter of personal opinion but i think if your afraid of prom hair thats a way to avoid it....

....looking for photo....
...
....okay here is what i mean about the front

and the back idea (you can kind of see the front idea in this photo too)

Definatly going with the casual/loose look! :thumbsup2

I can't pull off up dos so anyone who can i say GO FOR IT! :thumbsup2

Well thats my problem... i'm definatly going to have to do a hair trial

OH I looooove that! :lovestruc Now if i did somthing like that would i do the veil on the top or coming out from underneath??

(yay for hair twins!! :lmao: )

I think you should wear it up. Do you remember how you did your hair for prom? I remember I ended up having it half up/half down both times, and by the end of the night (regardless of the hairspray involved) it was flat, hairspray filled and knotty. Would you want that during pictures? :)

That's what I think about, yet I have never actually had an updo, I think I look awful in them. Maybe you could go to a salon and have them try something for a cheaper price before you have your actual trial? (If you are having one..nevermind just saw you are going to!)

I agree... my jr. prom i had it half up and half down and the curls came out and i wanted it ALL up. lol When my hair was all up for senior prom it was all on top of my head with a few curls on the sides and slicked down on my head... think of a helmet with curls lol.

But there are definatly styles out there like the ones i posted and what meghan posted that i think will look good. I also dont want it to look over done if you know what i mean. I dont want to look back at my wedding pictures and think... that looks nothing like me. I dont know if i making any sense but i'm sure you all know what i mean :)

You want to look like the best version you have ever see of yourself, is that is:rotfl: That's what I want.....to look like myself, but also like a celebrity walking down the red carpet!

EXACTLY!!!! See you get it! :rotfl2: I want to look like me but the best version of me. I dont want to look at my hair and think... "um yea no way i'll EVER have my hair again." or "wow i look like a drag queen with all that make up!" :lmao: I felt that way about my Jr. prom pictures. It was aweful!

I feel the same way, completely!! That's why I want to wear my hair down. Although that probably doesn't help your cause! :rotfl:
