I know... this is the first "its real" moment i've had. I felt like we're talking alot about our plans but nothing is set in stone so this makes me uber happy! I'm really hoping the months fly by i'm dying to book everything!

YEAH for booking DVC! I know the waiting part is tough. I think I have to wait until March to actually book the wedding portion...Our honeymoon is booked...but I want a firm date on everything...all in due time I guess...

I have some questions for you all.... Its about my favorite thing... EATING!!!

Df and I were discussing some places that we want to eat. He is going to be making his list but here is my list of places i'd like to try....

Teppan Edo
Cali Grill
San Angel Inn
Beirgarten
Whispering Canyon
Jiko
Sci-fi
50's prime time (i've been here before but DF hasn't so i think it would be funny)
Tusker house breakfast

We decided that we'd be sticking with the normal DDP. We looked into the TiW and don't think its for us. The other reason that the DDP will work is because we'll be paying out of pocket for BOMA so thats one day that we'll have an extra TS credit so we can use it for JIKO later on in the honeymoon. I'm also going to call and pay out of pocket for the sweetheart dinner at Cali Grill as a gift for DF. He doesn't know this yet hehehe

So here are my two questions to you all....

How does the sweetheart dinner work? i've only heard of it... never done one

and

I want to do the tuskerhouse character breakfast on the Friday before the wedding and invite people to come if they want. But how do i invite them to come without them thinking we're going to pay for it? I dont want to come off as being cheap or anything but the budget won't allow us to pay for ANOTHER meal.

I'm so excited about booking AKV! I have to wait alittle while longer to book BWV for the disneymoon part of the trip because its not my aunts "home" resort so she can't book until 7 months out. But that is just another mile stone!
11months = AKV ressie
8 months = booking the wedding
7 months out = booking BWV

Your list looks good...the only one I have tried is tusker house breakfast. It was one of the best meals of our trip, and so much fun!

Oh thats good to hear! I always do atleast one character meal because other than seeing the characters there DF doesn't like waiting around to see them in the parks. We've done CM's and Ohana so i wanted to try tusker house!

I hope i can some of our family over there with us!

Yay for your DVC. and I have only eaten at a few of those places such as 50s prime time, and whispering canyon both were very interesting environments.

Anyway I made a reservation for DF and myself for after we are staying at disneyworld so we are paying out of pocket for that. The things I do for a filet with mac and cheese.

I've just finished reading your entire PJ...I have to say you've got me addicted to your planning! LOL Anyways CONGRATS ON BOOKINGG!! It was definitely very exciting for DF and I. We just sent in our contract and should hear from or Wedding Consultant in the next few weeks. Ughh I hate how long everything takes with Disney...I just want to start planning officially already. Anyways, I LOVEEEE your dress. I look on ebay all the time for the gown I want and cant find it I've considered buying two dresses, and most likely will because my ceremony is @ 10A @ SBP... and then we are doing a lunch and then going to MK so I want to still wear a dress.

I've gone back and forth about the DP...I just don't know how it would work for me because my ceremony is so early in the AM. How would my hair and makeup last, won't I be exhausted by the time we have it ( since Ill be up at 4AM for hair and makeup). These are the conflicts I have going on in my head right now..LOLLLLL



p.s. I'm a wedding planning addict... I cant stop. I've already bought so much for our Guest Welcome bags..but thats a whole other story.

Looks like great choices on the ADR's and a few may be on our list too. I've always wanted to try Biergarten. Jiko is so awesome, our favorite! Tusker House breakfast is so fun, it's DF's favorite character breakfast!

We're going to be inviting people to a bunch of meals, but don't plan on paying for them. I'm going to put together a newsletter inviting people but listing the price so that they don't think I'm going to pay. Since it's a come if you want type thing and not an officially hosted meal. Hope that helps!

Welcome! You're from my neck of the woods! I grew up in Saugus which is only like 20 mins north of boston.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! Disney does take a long time but its definatly worth it. If you wanted to do a DP you defiantly should. I'm so looking forward to it. I'm going to talk to my hairdresser and see what kind of an up-do can be done and will likely last all day since we want a morning ceremony as well. I'm also going to contact the people who will be doing my make up and see if i can purchase a few things they used on my face so i can do a little touch up before hand! HTH!

I am so glad i'm getting such good reviews on tusker house! And thank you so much for the advice on how to invite people That makes perfect sense and i think thats how i'll do it. It isn't a bad thing if i make an ADR for everyone and not everybody shows up right? Is there some unwritten disney law that you can't do that?

Yeah for booking DVC! You an def do a meal at Sago Cay if your an Escape Bride, Alex (Beep) is doing that.

My dinner at Sago Cay is $47/pp. Not bad when you think of it as combining dinner and a dessert party My grand total is a lot more though, since we are doing some sort of alcohol package.

It definatly makes wayyyy more sense to do it that way as opposed to BOMA and then the DP. And in the long run would be cheaper i think.

I wish i knew why the sales consultant said i couldn't do it. I want my offical planner!!! lol
