A Touch of Disney 2021 Experience - Superthread - Read First Post for Updates - Updated with Full Menus

Also, they are just letting people wander in from DTD with tickets and randomly into line. No one is controlling the entrance or the people. That’s not cool. I told one group where the back of the line was
Ok I checked with a manager and this should not be happening. No cutsies no matter where you came in.

I’m seeing that on ig yikes. Maybe I’ll just fork over $10 and walk earlier. I’m hoping by Sunday it’s more controlled
Well you won’t make any friends that way from the people who followed instructions, I will tell you that much.

Like the others, an hour from entering the M&F line to ticket sales booths. Probably at least another 20 minutes before we're in the park

We're traveling in for this in a few weeks and staying at a hotel nearby to walk over. Does anyone know if you can come and go? And realistically if that would be possible or wise with DtD crowds?

The entrance process is absolutely ridiculous. The poor cast members have to scan three separate barcodes for each person to activate your ticket, print a ticket, activate the dining card and then give you a dining card. That is why the line is so long right there. It took almost 5 minutes for my party of five just standing at the entrance.

That is good information to have! Glad you're being the guinea pig for us so hopefully they'll have it smoothed out/a better process for it developed over the next week or two.

I feel bad for the CM’s at the gate. You know there will be people who throw a fit about it. I have 5 in my party with kids. I said something to him like I’m sorry that’s such a tedious process! And he said you know what? I am HAPPY to be back at work! It’s ok! ❤️ I love Disney so much because of that

Is this the case if you've added the tickets to your app, too?

I think she means before the event even starts. They let people into DCA by like 11:30; I saw people on IG inside at 11:34. The esplanade was full by 11:17, per one person’s comments (due to all the distancing space needed), so they opened the gates.

We’re planning on going early on Saturday to do the egg hunt at DTD before TOD, so we will probably head over to the gates around 11, based on info from today. That’s before Mickey and Friends opens, so no “cutting” of that line is even possible...

Well, AA changed our flights for 4/17-18. We were supposed to get into SNA at 11:48 am, but now we get in at 10:13. While we were hoping for a more leisurely morning, I suppose it's not TERRIBLE - that'll give us time to check into our hotel and head for the Harbor entrance. Our ToD tickets are for 4/17 - I think I might have gotten the very last ones for that day. Since that's the last weekend, I expect it to be running like a well-oiled machine by then.

Hey! I'm gonna be there on 4/17 too. We booked flights landing the night before so we can hopefully have some time in DTD in the AM before ToD. Hope everything works out for you with your flight on that Saturday AM so you get MAX TIME in DCA. :)

I’m thinking of doing the same thing when I’m there in April so would appreciate a report back on how it goes with transitioning from DTD to the ToD queue area, Thanks!

Man, that was a fun event! we had a blast. Carnival games on Pixar pier were open and free, prizes included! But yeah, the line to get in was crazy and slow. We pulled into mickey and friends right at 11:30 and didn't get into the gates till after 1:00. I still would go again if I could

did you feel like you had enough time to see everything? Also wondering when they start forcing people to leave the park. I saw a lot of Instagrammers posting their 'ok we're leaving now' stories at about 9:30 pm

The 90 minute wait to get in was a bummer, but once we were in everything went smoothly for us. We spent about 4.5 hours in the park and felt like we did everything we wanted to do. I will add that after around 3:00 ish the park seemed to clear out a bit. At least it seemed that way. I will say that the mobile order queue for Smokejumpers really filled up quickly. I guess a lot of folks REALLY wanted a Monte Christo. 😂

One item that others may know, that I did not, is that to use your $25 food card your order can't include alcohol. If there is any alcohol on your mobile order then you won't even have the option to use the card. The solution is to make two mobile orders, one with alcohol, one without. Just a small piece of info that may save somebody some time.
