Going to touch of disney but would like to hit downtown a bit before the event. I read that the Mickey and friends lot won't open until 1130. Where is the best place to park to hit Downtown Disney when it opens at 10?

We used the Simba lot when we went a few weeks back. Worked well. We got there right as the lot opened and walked right in to DTD.

When does the simba lot open?
Just checked on the app and I couldn't find an opening time for the lot, but I think it opens at 10:00 with the rest of DTD. We got there right at 10:00. The Simba lot is the only lot open for DTD parking, according to the DL app.

Are you on an iPhone or an Android? I'm not seeing this on my Pixel 5. I'm wondering if the app needs to get updated on the Google Play Store...

I have a Pixel 5 and I'm seeing prices in my app and have been since last night :confused3

When does the simba lot open?

30 minutes before DTD opens usually. It's currently $10 to park there (your ToD parking voucher won't work for it; only for M&F).

Do you know what version of the app you're on? (It can be found under the help section) I'm on 202103032.2

Yeah, I'm extremely tech savvy. Don't need it explained to me how to find a version number :rotfl: . I was the one helping people with Queue It. What you shared is just your build, btw, not version.

My app is Version: 6.13 Build: 20210302.2. So same build/last update day (March 2, 2021). Dunno why you're not seeing prices on the menus, though :confused3

Edit: actually I think you added a number to yours? Double check. There's no 32 date.

Huh... I'm not seeing them either! My app is updated (just hopped into the App Store to double-check). Oh well - I'm not going until April 17, and I don't really need to be salivating over this for a whole month :jumping1:

I do wish that for Festivals and stuff, Disney would add a "wish list" or "try list" feature so you could easily mark down which food you want to try. It would increase their F&B revenue FOR SURE.

So odd! I wonder why it's showing for me and a few others, but not everyone 🤔. Most odd is someone on the same model phone as me isn't seeing them.

They've done like a little booklet in the past sometimes you could check things off on I think (not sure if they still did this even at last year's short lived food and wine; I don't usually do the food events), but I haven't seen if they're doing anything like that this time. I'm just going to be making a spreadsheet of the food and souvenirs from the Foodie Guide they posted a bit back and make my own checklist :lmao:

I like this idea, but I would kind of miss my spreadsheets of "these are the foods I need to eat on this trip, this is where they're at" ...

Yeah, fat fingered the 32...

how long do ppl estimate spending time at this event w/o lamplight/carthay rsvp? it's from 12-8pm but i doubt ppl will spend the full 8hrs there...
trying to estimate as we are driving in from NorCal so i'm thinking 4-8pm is plenty for us? and i'm still trying to get rsvp for dinner @ carthay (as that menu seems most appropo for my mom)

I'm flying from NorCal the night before, then flying out the day after. Original plan was to fly in the previous night, have a relaxing pool morning, then fly out after the event on a late flight. Unfortunately last flight leaves before 8p, so we'd have to leave for the airport around 6 if we wanted to do that. So we decided to stay the extra night (and I had hotel certificates that come with my cc from 2020 to use or lose by July).
My friend driving from the Central Coast plans to do 12-6 and go. I'm thinking all those people trying to get in at noon will mean we'll be more likely to get in around one or so, and I like the option of staying for some evening photos; sunset isn't until 7:15 on my date, so we'll probably stay til close to the end. For us, roughly 1-8p. Pretty much the opposite of when we'd be in the parks if it was open. :rotfl2:

Happens to me a lot. Swype also is mean to me sometimes :crazy2: . I cheated and did a copy paste using Google Lens from a screenshot to get my number so I didn't typo.

Okay, everyone that can't see menu prices, please try this:

Open the app.

Scroll down to the ToD ad. Click "Explore Food & Merch Guide" as shown.

Next click the Mickey of doom that haunts our nightmares. See screenshot.

That will take you to this page:
562900

Scrolling through you'll see some offerings and where they're located. Click "View Location". I've chosen one as an example that's ToD exclusive.
562901

From here you can click "View Menu":
562902

And voila! Prices!

I can see it that way, but that's kind of an annoying way to look at menus. I just want a map so I can see where the booths are as I stroll around DCA and try not to cry off all my mascara from the sheer joy of being back in a Disneyland Resort park (even without rides.)

Oh I'm planning on staying the full 8 hours. But I know I might be in the minority. I plan to go spend some time near Snickers and Francisco's domain. Even if they've got a new territory, it's still very calming for me over there. Bonus if they still are there, though.

There's walk up reservations for Carthay and Lamplight supposedly going to be available. But coming that late the list might be full :(. I hope one pops up in advance you can reserve if anyone cancels theirs!

May the traffic be in your favor driving down!

Totally! Just was a work around for anyone wanting to see prices :yay: . I don't think it annoys me since I'm used to doing "view list" on the map anyways and just filtering for the park I want to see :lmao:

From the CM preview yesterday, it does look like there might be a physical map? Maybe? I didn't look closely, just saw Disney map sized things in a photo.
