A Touch of Disney 2021 Experience - Superthread - Read First Post for Updates - Updated with Full Menus

FWIW I'm planning to stay the full 8 hours too! My friend and I are flying in the night before from Phoenix, and I'm hoping we can get into DTD either before or after ToD. We don't fly home until the next afternoon. I don't want to be rushed - I want maximum Disney time!

Oh I'm planning on staying the full 8 hours. But I know I might be in the minority. I plan to go spend some time near Snickers and Francisco's domain. Even if they've got a new territory, it's still very calming for me over there. Bonus if they still are there, though.

There's walk up reservations for Carthay and Lamplight supposedly going to be available. But coming that late the list might be full :(. I hope one pops up in advance you can reserve if anyone cancels theirs!

May the traffic be in your favor driving down!

Totally! Just was a work around for anyone wanting to see prices :yay: . I don't think it annoys me since I'm used to doing "view list" on the map anyways and just filtering for the park I want to see :lmao:

From the CM preview yesterday, it does look like there might be a physical map? Maybe? I didn't look closely, just saw Disney map sized things in a photo.
Our game plan is hit the road @ 5:30 am, go straight to DCA & park, hopefully be walking into DCA by 3/3:30p...ugh, stupid friday LA traffic. we could have stayed an extra night but there's not much to do in LA now IMO..hoping i'll see a last minute cancellation to snap up for carthay.
we are just staying 1 night nearby so heading back up next day.

Should be okay I hope? You've definitely given yourself a decent cushion. I dunno if you're as bad as me, but I would need to tell myself at least 5am to leave by 5:30am :rotfl:

I assume we’ll stay the whole 8 hours. I can’t imagine paying $50 per person for atmosphere (which is basically what it comes down to when you take out the food credit), and then not enjoying that atmosphere to its fullest. Might even bring some card games or something and we can always grab a drink and play for awhile if we need a break between eating or something to entertain the kiddo. 😉 She grew up on hours of blanket playtime while we waited for parades, so she’s well-seasoned at Disney downtime.

how long do ppl estimate spending time at this event w/o lamplight/carthay rsvp? it's from 12-8pm but i doubt ppl will spend the full 8hrs there...
trying to estimate as we are driving in from NorCal so i'm thinking 4-8pm is plenty for us? and i'm still trying to get rsvp for dinner @ carthay (as that menu seems most appropo for my mom)
I’m doing Lamplight but I plan to stay the full 8 hours. I’m going to get my $75 worth :)

Plus I get full pretty easily, so I’m going to need all day to pace myself with the food 😂

Happens to me a lot. Swype also is mean to me sometimes :crazy2: . I cheated and did a copy paste using Google Lens from a screenshot to get my number so I didn't typo.

Okay, everyone that can't see menu prices, please try this:

Open the app.

Scroll down to the ToD ad. Click "Explore Food & Merch Guide" as shown.

Next click the Mickey of doom that haunts our nightmares. See screenshot.

That will take you to this page:

Scrolling through you'll see some offerings and where they're located. Click "View Location". I've chosen one as an example that's ToD exclusive.

From here you can click "View Menu":

And voila! Prices!

Yes, this is how I am seeing the prices. However, the screen grab that I saw had the locations on the map, as they are shown for DTD. That is what is not showing up for me. Sorry for not being clear.

Regardless, this will be fine.

Sorry! I should have said I meant it as an in general thing if people just wanted the prices but weren't getting the easy pop ups.

Trying to explain Queue It taught me to just do screenshots to make it easier for all :rotfl:. Especially me. Because I'm not always the best at explaining.

For anyone looking for something else Disney to do the day before or after ToD, or even morning of if you’d arrive at ToD a bit later than “rope drop”, the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana is reopening on March 17, day before ToD opening. They are open Tuesday thru Sunday & closed on Mondays. They have a special exhibition, Celebrating 50 Years of the Disney Archives which is there through end of June, having been extended several times due to closures. Timed tickets are required; this maps approx 7 miles south from Disneyland, so is very close. They’ve got some fun things on display!

To everyone on the forum who's going to A Touch of Disney today.... HAVE FUN! Report back which food you liked best. Some of us need to make our game plans. :flower1:

Question - I saw on Instagram that the $25 dining card is only good at the food booths, not at any other dining locations. Is this true? Wondering if event attendees can update this info later on. I already know you can't use it to buy alcoholic bevs.

Just finished checking in after a long overtime night shift and staying at Hyatt House. Saw a few others at check in with Disney gear so think I know what they're here for haha.

Actually have a view of Guradiand, Grizzly peak and backside of cars land so getting all the feels !
The person going with me still has no idea why we are here so should be fun lol.
Heading over around 11am or so probably to walk over , I'll update later! 20210318_091524.jpg

Watching some videos of people already inside.

It does look like there are special displays on the tram route I would love to see, but there were already a ton of people lined up that entered from Harbor and then more that entered from DTD. This was before M&F even opened. I'm leaning towards walking over from my hotel instead of parking in M&F unless something changes.

Got to MF at 11:25. Didn’t let cars in until 11:30. Took until 12:15 to get through garage, through tram path and into line. The line went all the way onto the tram path. Now waiting. It will be a while... this is stupid. They should have opened MF earlier

Also, they are just letting people wander in from DTD with tickets and randomly into line. No one is controlling the entrance or the people. That’s not cool. I told one group where the back of the line was

The lines go from the tram path. Loop through both ticket booth areas back and forth before going into the actual gate area.

I’m seeing that on ig yikes. Maybe I’ll just fork over $10 and walk earlier. I’m hoping by Sunday it’s more controlled
