A Touch of Disney 2021 Experience - Superthread - Read First Post for Updates - Updated with Full Menus

Glad to see some good news from folks! Thanks everyone for sharing their perspective and links! I'm not planning on trying to go until early May, but now I'm nervous about when they will or won't announce more tickets on sale. Do we need to check every morning going forward?!

I hope not :crazy2: . I hadn't actually considered this could extend to May, but if it does, then I'd probably go again as a birthday treat to myself. That would be awful to have to stalk daily for new days.

I just hope they don't drastically increase the price. Or at least offer a higher value food card if they do.

Now here’s the question... how many tickets did they sell for each day? Because if all there is to do is eat, and you have to be sitting to take off your mask and eat... where are all of these people going to sit? I hope they are planning really well for this and bringing in a ton of seating. During a normal F&W we just eat and walk because there’s rarely a place to sit to be found.

You can also stand and eat at those tall tables they have during F&W. They have them at the fountain right now in BVS. I suspect they will have a lot of those for some of the grab n go options. Then many benches and tables all over. Plus restaurants will be open. Hopefully by the time the even starts OC will move into red tier. That way the restaurants like Carthay and Lamplight can have indoor and outdoor seating.

Well, if the event goes through April 19, does this must mean they don't intend to open the parks until after that? 😭 😢😣

So, I waited yesterday for six and a half hours, only to have the message pop up that there were limited dates remaining with just a minute left to go before I was let in. When I got in, I was pretty devastated to discover that the day I wanted (4/17, which wasn't even supposed to be on sale, yet, which is why I wasn't poised to get in line as soon as it opened) was gone. I was going back and forth between phone and computer when I realized that my phone was showing different available dates from the ones on the computer. So I refreshed, refreshed, refreshed - and I was able to click on my date. By that time, those tickets for that date were already sold, but I had the date loaded in my browser. So then I just kept hitting "Add to Cart" over and over and, finally, SUCCESS! I got the tickets I wanted. My BFF, who is going with me, was here at the time, so it was pretty exciting. It took an hour after I got into the site before I got the tickets, but I didn't care. I got what I wanted!

It means they're not expecting to be able to open the parks before then.

The open-ended nature of the event is just so they can add weeks as it becomes clear that they won't be able to open.

If everything went absolutely perfect from today forward, the soonest they could open tier wise would be about May 4th. And that isn't going to happen. I am hoping for a July 17th opening.

Yesterday was... an ordeal. I managed to snag tickets for my Disney bestie and me for April 17 but wow... not looking forward to try to make dining reservations inside DCA on 3/11 when those open up. Ahhhh the things we do for our Disney fix.

You go, girl! :)

I can’t go - it’s not workable from Canada right now of course. But I’m so glad that some of you are able to go to a positive event that’s at least starting to approach normal again! I hope everyone who is able to be there has a wonderful time, and I can’t wait to see some trip reports again!

I got my ticket for April 1st. The 1st day the parks can be open with rides at 15% capacity with only California residents. I wonder how this is going to work.

Tagging on to the @Malcon10t comment above re earliest possible reopening date, we might want to recall that when WDW reopened there was no park hopping permitted for the first few months. So, theoretically Disney could consider reopening Disneyland Park once criteria to do so has been met, while continuing to offer Touch of Disney at DCA until it runs for their planned duration.
