Where was the poster from the Crystal Palace? Was that at Art of Disney?

about Planning Time Voodoo!
Yeah, somewhere in Art of Disney. You could really spend a bunch of money in that place, if you had enough wall space.
oh.......art if disney pics......my favorite! i love seeing pictures from here because i always miss some that i love. those pics of the princesses on the carousel are so pretty! and my favorite precious moments i think is the one of the little girl eating spaghetti with the tramp. so cute!
oh, i want this one next!!!! they didn't have it at the watch store at MK (where i usually get these). where was this at? i definitely want it next! i got the wendy, john & michael flying one to complete my peter pan collection and then i also got a small sorceror mickey this last trip.
I think the one with Baloo is cute, too.
I guess Jiminy Cricket was just at Art of Disney, too. I knew you had a bunch of those. Where do you have them displayed?
DH and DD got me the Belle Precious Moments for Mother's Day. It was so cute, Hannah was about to burst because she wanted to tell me what it was!
The apron is neat!
I bet that was so sweet. I can't imagine Brooklynn trying to keep a secret when she gets a little older.
I love shopping at DTD!!! I could spend ALL day there! There is SO much to see. Thank you for bringing to me!!!
I agree. You could spend so much time in every shop. We do that in two or three stores, and then we have to rush through the others so we can get off to a park or meal. You really could spend just about all day in DTD if you wanted to go through every shop carefully and eat, along with maybe letting the little ones do the carousel, play with Legos, run around in the water jets, etc.
oh my goodness there is a post office in DTD?? How did I NEVER notice that before, where is it? So neat!
Where was this in DTD? We looked for stamps while we were there so we could mail postcards and could not find them. Great pics and updates Memom!

There's just a counter where Art of Disney and World of Memories connect, best I remember.
I always buy pens as souvenirs too. For myself and for other people. Not only because they are practical, but also because they are usually inexpensive!!!
They are inexpensive and practical, and if you can get that in Disney World, that's a good combination. I always have one with me when I'm at a faculty meeting. And, yep, they are good souvenirs for friends, too!
It has, but I've been so bogged down with life stresses over the past week that I've been a little down, and I haven't really been able to focus on the trip. I'll have to go check our ticker, but I'm thinking that it is six weeks from today that I leave after to school to go to AL. We're spending the night in Perry, GA, getting up early, and arriving at All-Star Music around 11:00. Thinking about pulling up to the resort all dressed up for Christmas does make me happy, and I need some happy right now.
I need to go to DTD early, like you did, because when we went, it was late-ish and there were no nighttime EMH so I guess everyone had the idea of going to DTD. It was soooo crowded!
I love the pictures of the Precious Moments figurines, too. My mom used to collect those so she's the first person I think of when I see them.
So glad that Jill had a safe trip home and Brooklynn kept herself entertained. I can just imagine her showing Ariel the sights. Too cute!
DTD can get very crowded. That's why I wanted to go early and try to get some pictures without people.
I can picture Brooklynn showing Ariel what was happening outside the plane window, too. I'm sure she was having quite the conversation. I talked to her this morning as she was going to school. She was looking forward to playing with her friends again.
I LOVE how you always buy pens!!!! Ever since I was a VERY small child, and my Mom would vouch for this, every time we went to WDW I ALWAYS was fascinated and drawn in by the pen displays. It was always one of the first things I bought with my souvenir money---and this is still true to today!!! My sister laughed at me this year when we had that night at DHS where we got to shop just the two of us---I spent almost 20 minutes at one store just looking AT ALL THE PENS!!!! I think it is something in teachers' DNA!!!! We just LOVE pens---especially Disney ones!!!!
Disney pens are the only ones that can help us escape while we're in a very important
(boring) meeting.
Thanks for the Thanksgiving well wishes, I am thankful for all of my new friends here on the DIS. You all keep the disney magic alive and indulge my obsession. I know that here I will never have to justify why I love WDW so much.
Pooh'smate *You are the best! I can't thank you enough for finding the recipe. I have missed this for many years. I can't wait to show my DMom, she had no clue what I was talking about. Who needs my meanie MIL when I have nice DISers like you.
I also adore red velvet cake, but I found the recipe already. Happy baking for me.
dancin princess *I do use all of my plates, they are just melamine. I just pulled out my "Thanksgiving" ones with pumpkins, leaves and fruit on them. I find alot of them when I travel to the U.S. (Target and Dollar Tree) My Disney ones are from our
Disney Store. My DMom says I will soon run out of space to store them but I can't pass them up. Its a true addiction. Now that I have bored all of you....
I wish Drew could gain his hearing again, and be pain free. Does he talk about wanting to ride again? I will pray for him to try a less scary sport.
Glad to hear your family is home safe. Can't wait to read Jill's TR.
I love DTD also. I will plan a whole day there next year. I've never tried Earl of Sandwich or Goofy's Candy Co. Yummo!
Red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting....oh yeah! Good stuff!
Your Disney obsession is safe with us.
Drew will definitely ride again. That is
his obsession. He's out in the backyard right now doing a one-armed sanding job on some bike part. He's chomping at the bit to ride, but that's going to be a while yet.
He says when he yawns he can hear for a second, so I am hoping that's a good sign. Maybe something is just laying over on something inside there and it can be lifted up with surgery to where he can at least hear a little better.
You can't go wrong at Earl of Sandwich. The bread is so good!
MeMom,
I love seeing all your shopping pictures. I don't think I have even been inside most of the shops in Disney World. I wish I would be able to shop this time, but with a six year old son, I would spend most of my time trying to keep him from breaking stuff.
Have you figured out a way to make your trips seem longer yet? I already dread the end of my trip and we still have two months before we leave. I wish that a week at Disney would seem as long as a week at work.
It is easier to shop without little ones. Maybe there can be a time when someone else can be with him to play in the water jets or at the
Lego Store, and then you can go into some of the shops that have breakables.
You will NEVER have to justify that here!!!

There is definately some mega Disney Love flowing over here

. The people who I worry about are the ones who just don't understand the magic. Buncha weirdos if you ask me!!!

glad your Thanksgiving was a success. We still have about 5 weeks before our Thanksgiving!!
I'm sorry that they don't get it, but I'm sort of glad, too, in a way. Just imagine how ridiculously crowded it would be if everyone wanted to be there as much as we do. I won't take up space at their car races or boat shows or whatever their things are, and they can stay out of my lines at Disney World!

So now I am on my way to the Contemporary. The plan is to take a couple of pictures, then walk over to Magic Kingdom to meet Jill, John, and Brooklynn at the boat that's going to Fort Wilderness.
This is from the bus.
At the Contemporary, the palm trees were tied up like this.
I guessed it had something to do just landscaping-wise, like training the trees to grow a certain way, but John said it was probably just to get them out of the way of trucks and stuff that were working on this.
He was probably right. That does make sense.
I didn't really find anything too exciting to photograph at CR, so I walked on over to Magic Kingdom. I saw my people getting off the bus as I walked, so the timing was good.
We got on the boat to Fort Wilderness.
It was a pretty day.
Brooklynn waved to other boats.
Do you know what this is?
We were directly under the monorail when I snapped these.
And, here we are.
Inside the general store.
Fourth of July stuff.
A twenty-five cent massage sounds good after a day of walking around in a park.
Next, we spent some time here.
Looking ahead: Disney horses and lunch at Trail's End.
