I hate getting that envelope too. Aren't they going back with you in a couple of months? If they are at least they have something to look forward to. Still it's so sad!

I was there as they were opening World of Disney. There was a small opening ceremony, with a little girl and a little boy participating. I believe they got a certificate, too.

Cool measuring spoons! I would love to have my kitchen done with all the Mickey stuff...I do have one Disney touch in my kitchen. We got the canister set on our honeymoon.
I think the Mickey rain gauge is cute too! I love shopping this way!![]()
Morning MeMom, I have the day off! It was busy this week with people getting ready for Thanksgiving. Thats the nature of retail.
I love the DTD pics, you find the coolest things to capture. I never noticed the Lego pictures. I think the reflection of the dragon is neat. The crab pic made me laugh. Which store has the plates? Do you remember the price? I collect different plates, I must have about 20 sets now. I have all the holidays, a few Disney and alot of tropical ones. My DMom jokes about it all the time. DD will have to get the Mac and Cheese. I want the Mickey knome for my DMom.
I will take a tip from you and slow down the next trip and notice the details. (I have to admit I was kindove a comando before). In my defense we did go on "everything" we wanted.Next year I want to go for longer so I have time to take it all in.
I think I will book in early Dec. so Lexi (DD) can get the Christmas day phone call from Mickey. I reluctantly decided to go in August and hopefully we will get the free dining. You know I wanted to go for the EF&GF in May. Next time. DMom reminded me we HAVE to fix the roof next year, so if I want to go to Disney I'll need to save as much $$$ as I can. I still get to go!!!I can't wait to see pics of Jill and Brooklynns trip. So sad she woke up to the bad envelope this morning. You should tell her she is lucky, when I wake up my last day I get the letter and a 26hr drive ahead of me.
It would be great to hop on a plane and be home in 3-4 hrs. I'm so glad they had a magical time.

I'm changing my closet over from summer to winter today, so I'll check in later. I think I've put it off long enough.![]()
i didn't know they did an opening ceremony there! cool. you learn something new every day!
i'm sad for jill that she's leaving today. but tell her to look at it this way: next time she goes it will be EVEN BETTER because it will all be decorated for christmas!!!!![]()

Okay I kindove got side tracked on the DIS so I havn't actually got started on my closet.I will look at your previous trip for pics of the Flower and Garden Festival. My DMom is an avid gardener. I know she wants to go in May also but she is far more practical than me. I must save $$$, that is my new mantra.
I took a peek at your other TR and Brooklynn looks so cute and young. I will read it later. The food pic wouldn't be that interesting, just me, mom and the kids and a turkey. And pumpkin pie. Aaron(DS) likes pecan pie, the southern boy in him. You would be shocked to know I paid $7.00 for a cup and a half of pecans. I miss Auburn, my MIL has pecan trees in her yard.
MeMom are you a baker? Have you heard of Friendship bread? It takes days to make. I think each friend makes a part. My MIL won't give up the recipe, do you know it?
CanadianWDWFan, You will need a starter to make your friendship bread. You can find a recipe for it here http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Amish-Friendship-Bread-Starter/Detail.aspx. I have used this one and it is very good. Hope this helps. By the way Happy Thanksgiving. We are celebrating tomorrow. My dh is from Montreal so we celebrate both. Enjoy the bread.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you guys in Canada who are celebrating. It seems so different to be saying that in October. Here it's a holiday a month from October to December - Halloween, Thanksgiving, then Christmas.
From all of us up here, Thanks!![]()
My boys are away in Halifax on a Dad and Pook only trip. I am enjoying my two quiet days alone. (and I haven't done a bit of school work yet) Next week is a short week for students, Thanksgiving holiday Monday and teacher meetings on Tuesday.
How is Drew btw?
Can't wait to see Jill's new pics!
Thanks for clearing that up for me, i was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO confusedI think Charleston Princess was the original author (see below), but what we really need to know is if you wore a special outfit while performing said juju.
Do u use them or just collect them?I collect different plates, I must have about 20 sets now. I have all the holidays, a few Disney and alot of tropical ones. My DMom jokes about it all the time.
Brooklynn was keeping herself entertainedBrooklynn was laughing hysterically at some song she was singing while I was talking to Jill. Hopefully, she will sleep on the plane.
JILL UPDATE - She just called from back in Orlando. The plane had to turn around and go back because of what they think is a computer glitch. They said they are hoping for it to only take twenty minutes, and then they'll be moving again. She said Brooklynn had already fallen asleep and the pregnant lady had been to the bathroom, so they were good for the flight to just ease on in to Birmingham. She is really hoping Brooklynn will fall back asleep as soon as they get on again. It is so much easier when she is sleeping - no trying to entertain her and she doesn't have to deal with the ears popping and all. I hope it's not a miserable ride home now with her being cranky and tired but not able to go back to sleep. She said she'd call when they got to Alabama.
