That is just the laugh that I needed -- I love how children's minds work --
Peter just has to be Peter Pan!!!
In a Disney house, that's the way it works!
That is adorable!!!! I hope Jill got it on video!
I told her to, so I hope she did or does this weekend.

Absolutely way too cute for words!!

I just marvel at the way little one's minds work.
I have tons of memories of my girls and their thoughts on life!
Precious, treasured memories. I love little kids' thoughts.
I LOVE Brooklyn's new song!!! HOW SWEET IS THAT!!!!
I heard her sing it on the phone, and it was so sweet.
MeMom... we had conferences this week too, but luckily I am still enjoying the girls and Luke...no work yet for me.
As for new things to be doing at school it seems we have adopted a new set of reading assessments and then the wonderful state decided we need to do four hours of safety and violence prevention training by the end of March. Of course we can do it online... but boy is it boring. I have one of the five courses completed... in all my spare time.
Lucky you! Enjoy every minute of it.
Reading assessments - we do them constantly. They always say at the seminars not to put kids in redbirds, bluebirds, and yellowbirds, but then they test them and put numbers on them and put them in groups. So, what's the difference. Do they really think the kids don't know who reads at what level, and why the 40-44's are going to a different class on the fourth grade hall for Reading Groups and the 12-16's are going down the other hall for Reading Groups. Not that I ever did redbirds or buebirds or even storks or cranes or flamingoes for that matter...but the kids do know, and there is no difference. And for the record, I despised running records. It is one test on one day - plop a number on them, and stick them in a group. According to that, I have a girl who is a 40, so she goes up for Reading Group. The teacher says she is making a low B. The Accelerated Reading Program tested her out at 2.9 today, which would put her more like a 24. In my opinion, she's probably honestly about a 26-28, from all that she actually does in the classroom, but my judgement comes from many things, not just one test on one day.
Okay, if you are a teacher, you understood some of that and probably have some of the same frustrations. If you are not a teacher, I hope you get into a school system where you can really teach and not just present an endless line of programs.

I love Brooklynn's new song.
Maybe she'll write songs for new Disney movies when she grows up!
cute photo of Brooklynn on the horse. I love her version of the song.
Did you ever go over to Ft. Wilderness when you were working at Pop?
I know the New Testament song, and Brooklynn's version is really cute. I watched Peter Pan with my kids Tuesday night. I hadn't seen that movie in years. I figured that if Brooklynn loves it that much it had to be good. I pray your son continues to improve.
Aren't movie nights fun? I just got the new Sleeping Beauty, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.
Drew is doing well. He has to go pick up his x-rays and take them to the orthopedic doctor Friday. We'll see what they say about that awful looking bone sticking out the front of his shoulder.
I love Brooklyn's version of the NT song. That is just too cute! Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Wendy are much easier for a two-year-old to say than most of the books of the NT. Tell Jill to make sure to videotape that. She'll definitely want to show Brooklyn that when she gets older.
I think we're going to have to make it over to Ft. Wilderness next time because my youngest DD loves horses. Do they have horseback riding, do you know?
Alice
I don't know if they do much more than the pony rides where we were, but I do think that somewhere there is some horseback riding available. Maybe check over on the camping board for someone smarter than I am in that area.
Brooklynn looks adorable on the pony!
Her new song is cute!
Great pictures of Ft. Wilderness. I think we visited there when I was a kid. I will have to add that to our long list of places to explore at Disney. I think Hannah would love to see the horses.
I bet she would, too. It's also just a nice place because it's a completely different atmosphere than other places in WDW. You could also check out the bonfire and outdoor movie, which we have not yet done, but want to.

Thanks for that laugh MeMom, aren't little ones funny sometimes!!
I will share this on your TR because I want to remind as many people as possible to
wear your seatbelt all the time!! I rolled my van this morning on my way to work. The van is totalled and I walked away thanks to my seatbelt. Keep yourselves safe out there!
Have you replayed that in your mind a thousand times today? I got spun around once when a teenager hit me and spun me into a telephone pole, and I just kept feeling that moment in time over and over in the weeks ahead. She ran a stop sign, so it made me so paranoid whenever I got near a stop sign for a long, long time. I didn't trust the people to stop because of what had happened with the wreck.
I am very glad you are okay, but you are probably going to be very stiff and sore tomorrow, especially in the neck and shoulders. You never know when you walk out the door if you are ever going to walk back in it, and this is a reminder of that. I am so glad you came through without injury.
Oh my goodness! I am so happy that you walked away! Were you hurt at all? You will probably be sore tomorrow so be sure to rest and take care of yourself! I always wear my seatbelt. Some people make fun of me, but I even buckle my belt to move my car down my driveway! Gotta make it a habit!
She'll be feeling muscles she forgot she had!
Praise God you are okay!!!
Thank you for the lovely reminder to all of us, but I think we all would agree that we are just so happy to hear that you are okay!!!
Agreed - thanks for the reminder.
Thank heavens you are ok! Glad you were able to walk away!
And I'm glad you didn't have the kids with you.

I think I ended with the food pictures, so we'll go from there.
Here's Brooklynn sporting a Disney sticker before we left.
A cowgirl's bathroom.
Brooklynn with hands that show the results of having a chocolate chip cookie outside for more than a few minutes in the Florida sun.
Pretty flowers.
At the Fort, water fountains grow out of logs.
Turn your computer upside down to make this picture right.
The playground.
Note that Brooklynn has changed outfits.
More greenery.
Back on the boat.
What are they all looking at?
They were watching someone soarin' for real.
It was two someones, actually.
A peaceful boat ride.
Here we are, coming up to the awesomeness that is the Wilderness Lodge.
