The only reason to get there early would be to beat the crowds to either Antarctica, Manta, or to feed the dolphins.

Everyone needs to buy their own tray in a family though, right? For example, if we take our 3 kids we can't stand back as the parents and not buy one.

They have multiple feeding times during the day but the lines get EXTREMELY long
