Is there anywhere that you can watch the fireworks from the Contemporary besides the California Grill? We don't have a room there either, just wondering if there is a public place to watch them. Thanks for any info that anyone could give.

What is the name of the sundries shop? Thanks so much for your help!!!

The sundries shop is called Concourse Sundries and it is located to the far end of the 4th floor, next to the new arcade. Just go out those doors and there is a small seating area to watch Wishes from.

If the 4th floor observation deck seems to crowded which it can be, another great spot to view them is by the bus station or just by the main entrance you meet the valets when you arrive.

What about the Floating Electric Parade....:confused3 ....can you see the parade from the same vantage points? Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

If your not staying at the Contemporary with a Bay Lake View in the Tower or South Garden Wing you can watch it from the Outer Rim Lounge on the 4th floor, because you can't view it from where you would view the fireworks.

I am working on a CR photo walk (it should be up in a few days), and I have photos of the chairs and view from the observation deck. (I don't mean the construction site, everyone has seen that already). :)

Do you know if they put chairs on both observation decks? The reason I am asking is most of the time I see guests coming from the side of where the Concourse Sundries shop is and when the question is asked of where they view the fireworks from the 4th floor, that is the side which is always mentioned since no one mentions there is another one behind the Bayview Gifts store. So I would assume they put chairs on both observation decks if one was full, so guests could go on over to the other one.

Also when did they start putting chairs out there because whenever I went out there to watch the fireworks they never had them, so I assume this is something new right?

I have only been out on the observation deck (the very large one) that goes out with the two doors from the main area on the 4th floor. I'm not sure of another one?

And I don't remember the chairs being there previously, they actually look kind of unanattractive to me - but they serve a purpose (something for those who can't get to the CG!) Let me post that one photo, I'll go resize it and upload it (I'll have it on my site too, but not for a few days - my husband says I missed the 5 legged goat and I should have that before putting the photo walk up). :)

Here are the benches, off to the left when you go out to the platform (I may try to get a better photo tomorrow, but there aren't a lot of angles to photograph them easily):

Ok, so how early would you suggest getting to this spot to try and watch the fireworks?

Well since they now have them there, I would hope that no one stands in front of people sitting down. Although I guess when you see them in the photo it's different then seeing them in person, so maybe they arranged them where no one can stand in front of the benches.

Seeing pictures like this just gets me so excited for my first stay at CR. Only 3 months, 3 weeks to go :goodvibes Can't wait to see the photo walk pics!

I have never watched fireworks from that location, but there is plenty of standing room at least. I don't think there would be much room for someone to get in front of the seats, they are prety close to the railing area.

Looking at the picture I would say your correct.

The seats actually looked weird sitting there, kind of shoehorned in. But it's nice they provide something. :)
I agree it's nice they did put them there and I guess they look that way because it was the only way to have them facing towards the Magic Kingdom.
