A Hop, NO Skip, and Many Mishaps to a Disney Dream!

Is it just me, or are the "selection" of princesses not what it used to be? Some of them don't even come close to looking like the princesses like they used to in my opinion.

I agree, some just don't look the same. You could see that the lady who was Tiana on the cruise just had that "sparkle" that made her look extra special compared to the ones here.

As for the Snow White thing, we rewatched the movie recently, and she really does have a high "trilling" voice, especially when she sings. It must've been the popular thing when that movie was made.

I couldn't believe it when she opened her mouth! It was MUCH different than the voices used today in the films.

And another great update! Claire definitely enjoyed her evening with mum! :thumbsup2

Shame about Pirates, but I hope you had a short line at BTMR as well!

We did! WE had a great time.

Great updates!!

Not sure if I told you already, but when we were there in March also, we had a not so great experience at CRT also. DD is 2 and we didn't have to pay for her. So all she was allowed to eat was buttered pasta. She wasn't even allowed dessert and it was hard bc the tables are so close and the family next to us had 2 DD's one who was around 7ish and the other was under 2 and in a high chair. They brought both of them out the build your own cupcakes, and our DD couldn't have any? I know they don't pay but we paid over $120 for the 2 of us adults to eat dinner, they couldn't give her a cupcake???? :confused3 Plus our server wasn't the nicest, i guess that is bc their gratuity is automatic???

thats terrible.

Some are so good, and some are just awful , at least in resembling the character.

Great CRT photos, sorry the food wasn't all that. Don't think it ever has been the bestest of menus. The fried chicken is really good though :)

I love it too. my Mom got a blue one I really like as well....and I may have to buy one like it when I go back. :rolleyes1

I need one.. I may have to accidentally on purpose forget to bring a jumper to the park some day so I have to buy a new hoodie when it gets cold :littleangel:

Aurora and Belle looked a LOT better than SNow White and Ariel.

I have to say we've never had any desire to eat at CRT (having boys helped that), but after looking at your food it looks unappetizing.

I like the sweatshirt. :thumbsup2

Perfect excuse! :lmao:

It was exciting the 1st time...and I did it this time because I knew Claire liked it and wanted to do it again, and I wanted to see how it was with the meet and greet this time. But I won't be jumping to get back.

Gosh, I hate that your food was so disappointing at CRT. They really need an overhaul there. I'm baffled that they think it is ok to offer such blah food for that kind of price. It think it really lets down a lot of people too because you are looking forward to something extraordinary when you eat in Cinderella's castle. :confused3

I love all the nighttime pictures of Agrabah! :lovestruc I enjoy strolling the parks at night. It seems like a totally different place!

That food certainly didn't do anything for me. I was talking to my DIL last night about the GDs dressing up at WDW. Well they don't like the princesses, so the eldest girl wants to dress like Indiana Jones or a Star Wars character.

There goes my dreams of a frilly Disney dress! :sad2:

Perfect excuse! :lmao:
Eh it's how I got my 2005 hoodie.. although that was an accident it had been warm all day and suddenly got freezing in the evening and we were in Epcot so had to get jumpers to keep warm as we'd left ours in the hotel at the bottom of international drive:goodvibes

Sorry you were disappointed with the food at Cinderella's Royal Table. We've only had breakfast there and the breakfast was good.

Claire is really concentrating on her wish.

They do need a menu overhaul. I was so disappointed when they did it last fall and it turned out to be so crumby.

OH NO! Yo ushould ask them directly though, just to be sure.....Maybe Mom doesn't want them frilly and they may secretly like it. :rolleyes1

In 2007 I bought a pull over sweatshirt for the same reason. But I didn't really like it. The one I liked best was HUGE, but I didn't want to buy one I didn't like ,so I got it. But the next day I bought the hoodie with the year on it that I liked better. LOL! And my obsession began then.

I hear breakfast is pretty good, but still pricey for what you get. If we do go back it will be for breakfast most likely.

We enjoyed the food at breakfast at CRT and have heard others complain about dinner. It's not a TON of food for the $, but you're paying for the location, characters and all that. We got fresh fruit, juice and pastries plus our entrees. We were satisfied with it. I think I got stuffed french toast, which was yummy.

I don't know that I'd go again, but if I did, it would be breakfast unless they change the dinner for the better!

I have done dinner and Breakfast at the castle. I did not like the breakfast. My friend is lactose intolerant and she told them that and it was on our reservation, they failed to mention that the croissants were dairy based, even though they gave her a non dairy based meal, and well......Jenna spent the day in the hotel room. I did not care for the stuffed french toast, but that is just because I do not like mixing food/anything IN my food. The pastries were good, but not worth the 2 TS. That being said we were on the DxDP so we had plenty of credits available, and saved money being on that plan. We ate somewhere else on Main Street that night and liked it MUCH better than CRT. I can't remember the name of it now, but it was across from the CP. Next time we will do HDDR and a Signature Restaurant in place of CRT.

I'm not a big french toast fan, so that never sounds good to me either, but I'm sure there would be something I liked, but for now, I am going to hold off going there.

Oh no! I do love HDDR. Thats a fun one we have been to twice. I think I would do it before CRT again too.

I feel like I haven't updated in forever....sorry. I know it hasn't really been too long, but I really want to get this closer to being done as well. And it doesn't seem to be working that way!
I have been super busy this week, but I do have 1 update ready.

I did see Harry Potter yesterday and I loved it. I highly recommend it, and if you are a fan, you will probably shed a lot of tears while watching it!

We came out of Pirates to see that Wishes had started. This is when I realized that I had wanted to see the Castle show prior to Wishes and totally forgot about it. I took a couple quick, on the move shots as we walked towards BMTR to use our FP’s.

We headed over to BMTR and the FP line had basically NO wait. The regular line was almost just as fast. I did not take a single picture here…..sorry.
Claire and I got the 1st row again. It was fun and fast, but I could tell it might’ve been too much for Claire. I asked her when we were done if she liked it and she said not really, it was too fast. 2 guys behind us started laughing. I then asked, so you still want to try Space Mountain? And she quickly said yes….And the guys behind us really cracked up then.
We decided to check if pirates was running again and then make our way towards Space Mountain.
It was!

We found that they must not have fixed the problems that had shut it down earlier. The mist was NOT there. Claire noticed that right away. And the part where you have pirates chasing around in circles…those we not moving at all. And the last scene with Captain Jack was completely lit up. I should’ve taken a picture then, as that would’ve been a perfect opportunity to get a better shot with more light.

It was still fun and unless you really know the ride you probably wouldn’t have noticed the differences.

We decided to walk over towards Space Mountain and let Claire look at it.

We got to the hub and Claire put the breaks on. She did NOT want to try Space Mtn. I tried a bit to convince her to try, but at that time it was a big no. I noticed they were putting up the ropes for the next parade, so I told Claire we would watch that instead. Again, she said no, she had already watched it earlier. I told her she only got to see part of it and it was from far away, behind people. This time we would have a front row seat…and besides I didn’t see it and that is what we were going to do!
She grumbled a bit, but sat down and then was thankful for the rest time.

Claire jabbered a mile a minute while I took pictures and went through my camera cards.

As you can tell I was trying to get every color of the castle lights.

I really debated actually seeing this parade before coming down. I LOVE Spectro Magic. It’s my all time favorite parade. I LOVE the music…and just everything about it. I looked at videos of MSEP on You Tube and thought YUCK! The music was horrid. Once the hours were extended for MK that night, and extra parade was added, and I figured I would play it by ear, but would most likely give it a try.
I’m glad I did. I actually kind of liked it. Don’t get me wrong, I still don’t care for the music, but it was better than I thought it would be and the floats themselves were great. Spetro will still be number 1 in my eyes though.

Great pics, Jen!
I am so glad you stayed and watched the MSEP! I think it is what you experienced first, that's the parade you love more.
We are MSEP lovers - I do not care for Spectro, would not wait for it, maybe watch if we "walked into it".
But you will see me standing or sitting at the curb for an hour for a good glimps of the MSEP!
Thank god we all have different tastes! :goodvibes

The spot where the pirates run in circles is my favorite! I haven't seen the Spectro parade before. I liked MSEP. My favorite thing is Wishes:love: I don't think I could miss it!

Kadence thinks she could do Space Mtn! I bet she doesn't for a few years yet! She loves Test Track though, so you never know!

I agree. Spectro is what I saw when I took Michael and Paige as kids, and I loved it then too. I think we once sat on the curb for an hour for Spectro when Claire was littler, but most times I can find a decent spot back in frontierland area not too long before it starts. This time, being it was the 2nd parade, we had no problem getting a spot and actually it was pretty vacant.

I like Wishes, but can live without it. Claire seems to care less about it. She is a 4th of July fireworks girl and any other time of year she doesn't seem to want to watch them for some reason.
