A Hop, NO Skip, and Many Mishaps to a Disney Dream!

I think my favorite picture of the bunch is the one of Claire making her wish during the Wishing Ceremony. Like you said, she was taking it very seriously. You aren't the first person who said that Snow White and Ariel talked like a baby. I've read that in a couple of reports.

I love that picture too.
I thought it was weird...almost comical how they talked.

I love the pic of Claire making her wish...she is so into it.

Is it just me, or are the "selection" of princesses not what it used to be? Some of them don't even come close to looking like the princesses like they used to in my opinion.

What great pictures! As everyone have said... the one of Claire wishing is priceless. :goodvibes As for the voices... I just assumed it was something Snow White did. I think we have ONLY had Snow Whites who talked like that. Of course... on our spring 2010 trip.. we had one who not only talked like that... but was a bit spacey too. She asked dd if dd knew about all of her friends the dwarfs... and then proceeded (in her squeaky voice) to attempt to list her friends. It made dh :rotfl: She listed one and then another and... another... and started.. to... forget. In the end covered it up by saying, quite enthusiastically something to the effect of "and the rest of them". :rotfl2: yes, I think Kathy is right... maybe the princesses are not quite the caliber that they may have once been. ;)

Since we were just making it to that seating, we didn’t have to wait for Cinderella at all.
Claire went right up to her long lost sister.

I love it. My momma said similar about me at the Halloween party last year. She said the way I chatted to the princesses and the smile it brought was like I was meeting up with long lost friends or something! :goodvibes

I agree...some are not so pretty anymore.

This was just the worst. I guess because it sounded so fake, that might've been part of it.

Aww. :wizard:

The pictures of the Cinderella twins are awesome! But then you knew I'd like those, right???? That costume really is so pretty! :goodvibes

So I know you're leaving again soon, but any thoughts about when you'll be able to get back again with your own little princess in tow?

I was SOOOOOOOOOOO far behind, but am all caught up! :woohoo:

Thanks for posting so many photos of Claire's princess transformation and especially the reveal! How cute!

Guess I WOULD have laughed hearing the princesses baby voices! :rotfl2: And now that I am all caught up ........ please continue!

BTW - got your PM and will answer as soon as I can find Tom's number! ;)

I hope soon, but right now I am trying...hoping to go on a 5 night Dream next March. my mom also wants to go. If we do, we may also go to Universal and skip WDW altogether. :scared1:

I'm trying to pump out the updates so I can at least get closer to being done before I leave! It's still not going as fast as I hoped. And we are gone all day tomorrow. I have one more ready to post and then I'll get working on the next!

Claire is so pretty with Cinderella! Her dress looks so nice!

So did you enjoy the food. The last time we went it wasn't that great. They really need to improve in that category since they charge so much to go there.

I've also heard others complain about the baby talk. :confused3

No the food got worse. It was pretty decent in 09, but they changed the menu and it was not that great at all.

Aurora was at Ariel’s heels.

Aurora actually forgot to sign Claire’s book. Since we were the last table I gave it to a CM and she ran it back to her to sign. We still had time before the next character.

Our food then arrived.

This was Moms and she said it was absolutely horrid. I think she only took about 2 bites of it.

Over all it was a disappointing meal. Dad's was probably the best, and Mom ended up kind of sharing with him. Mine was just OK. The sauce was weird tasting to me. Claire’s was pretty good though.

Dad was amazed at Claire’s hair. He kept asking how her hair got so blonde. I kept telling him it’s normally blonde…but finally we realized he didn’t know there was a hair piece in it. LOL!

This was also Mom and Dads first character meal. I think they weren’t sure exactly how it worked…especially Dad. But they got the hang of it and were getting excited as each new princess arrived.

Finally Belle arrived. Claire has 2 favorite princesses, Ariel and Belle, though I think Belle might be slightly higher ranked.

Dessert then arrived. It was good, but not great….why wasn’t it great? ….. Because they no longer serve the Chocolate Buckle! Which has to be one of my most favorite desserts of all time…. I am so disappointed that they stopped serving this. I have tried to find a recipe for this to try to make it at home, but no such luck.

Here’s a copy of the kids menu.

And the picture we received as part of the package.

This meal was not worth the price at all. I don’t think we will be going back soon unless they change the menu…or my little one gives me big puppy dog eyes!

I was getting pretty chilly sitting in there. I only had my tank top on and didn’t bring a sweatshirt because I had planned to buy a new one in the park.

So we headed off to shop. That was a bit trickier than I had thought. The sidewalks were lined up with people waiting for the parade. We weaved our way through and finally made it to the stores. I could NOT find a 2011 sweatshirt. I asked a couple of people and no one seemed to know, or they would send me to a spot that didn’t have any. I did finally find one, but it wasn’t to my liking. It was very similar to my 2007 one, and that is the least favorite one I own…gray and the year wasn’t anything fancy.

I asked about the pink one I had seen online, and they told me it had been discontinued in the adult size, but no one knew why.
Dad stepped outside and decided to watch the parade while we shopped. Claire quickly found a baby Marie and HAD to have it, so we purchased that for her and sent her out with Dad. ( I don’t think she really knew who Marie was at that point, but it was really cute)

I finally settled on a pink tie dye sweatshirt. It was cute. It didn’t have the year, but I guess I could live with it.

Mom picked a blue one very similar to it.

Mom and Dad decided to head back to Pop. They told me I could bring Claire back at any time if I wanted to and then go back. I handed my bag to my Mom and just kept the bare essentials on me. The bag was getting annoying. But not as annoying as the camera bag, but I had to keep that with me.
Dad didn’t want to leave till the parade was over, so they finished watching it and then left.

We found out the next day that they had taken the monorail over to the TTC. Since they arrived there from AK, that’s where they thought they were supposed to go. They asked someone where to go and they got a rude CM who basically did NOT tell them where to go. So they found someone else who was much more helpful and finally made it back.

Claire and I headed over towards Pirates. She wanted to ride it again. Of course I totally forgot about the new castle show…which I had wanted to see…and totally missed.

I tried a few lighted castle pictures.

I love and want the pink sweatshirt! Also love Claire's cheeky little grin in some of the princess pics! She looks so happy to meet the princesses! Lol at your dad not realising it was a hair-piece on as well. We used to get that with our irish dancing hair pieces.. people would stare alot and some would ask how long it took to get them that curly.. We're like about 5-10 minutes :)

I love it too. my Mom got a blue one I really like as well....and I may have to buy one like it when I go back. :rolleyes1

Claire looks the happiest with Belle! Nice photo with Cinderella:thumbsup2

I will only eat breakfast in the Castle. I've seen the dinner menu, and I honestly can't see myself eating any of it. I am a bit picky, :rolleyes1 so anything with onions and /or peppers is a big NO!

We didn't get to see the castle show either (shhhhh, don't tell anyone yet, I'm not that far in my TR)

I hope to see it this next time around...but I have a hard time sticking to exact park plans. :rotfl:

How disappointing about your CRT meal not being good. :( I've said it before and I'll say it again - I SO wish you could still eat there w/o it being a character meal. Buddy and I ate lunch there one day on our honeymoon (2002) and it was SUCH a good meal and absolutely just as cool to eat overlooking FL without characters. I'd love to do that again.

:rotfl: about the baby voiced princesses. Snow White always makes me stiffle a laugh for that reason - and then Buddy usually leans over and says, "Can't you just hear her when she gets off work, going through a drive-thru and ordering beer and cigarettes in a deep, gruff voice?" :rotfl:

We stopped off to ride the flying Carpets.

We had a lot of fun and continued on our way to Adventureland.
Claire wanted to go on Pirates again!

I think this lantern is from somewhere in the Pirates cue…..or outside the building.

pirateslantern.jpg

the posted wait was 5 minutes, but we soon came to a stop and noticed the boats were going through empty. A CM made an announcement that the ride was down temporarily. I asked him if he had a guestimate time and he wasn’t sure. It could be 5 minutes or 10 or more. He wasn’t sure what was wrong, but mentioned the mist could possibly not be working, or one of the animatronics’ malfunctioning.
Claire and I decide to jump out of line and go to BTMR and then come back to Pirates.

And another great update! Claire definitely enjoyed her evening with mum! :thumbsup2

Shame about Pirates, but I hope you had a short line at BTMR as well!

Great updates!!

Not sure if I told you already, but when we were there in March also, we had a not so great experience at CRT also. DD is 2 and we didn't have to pay for her. So all she was allowed to eat was buttered pasta. She wasn't even allowed dessert and it was hard bc the tables are so close and the family next to us had 2 DD's one who was around 7ish and the other was under 2 and in a high chair. They brought both of them out the build your own cupcakes, and our DD couldn't have any? I know they don't pay but we paid over $120 for the 2 of us adults to eat dinner, they couldn't give her a cupcake???? :confused3 Plus our server wasn't the nicest, i guess that is bc their gratuity is automatic???
