A great big pickle...sigh.

EMH confuses me too - it used to mean Early Morning Hours, but now that it extended to both morning and evening, I've no idea what it means!!:confused3

I probably have it wrong anyway...they probably changed it to something else and I've not kept up - it's always Early Morning Hours to me.:thumbsup2

One of our friends will know for sure! Oh, wait! Maybe it means Extended Magic Hours????

I have never had the opportunity to take advantage of this. Sounds like a nifty idea to me. We may need to take advantage of it depending on the weather. Please no rain, hurricanes, tropical storms, tornadoes, snow storms or anything close to that!

It's called EXTRA MAGIC HOURS. I am telling you...DH and I love it--especially the morning ones. Last year, we went to the one at the MK, and we rode: Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Dumbo, Winnie-the-Pooh (twice), Snow White, Mad Hatter, saw Mickey's Philharmagic, rode the Wedway People Mover (sorry...it will always be that to me), Buzz Lightyear (twice) and Space Mountain (twice) all within the first hour and then 15 minutes after that! We were then able to walk over to Adventureland and do Pirates and Big Thunder and Splash Mountain before our 10:15 a.m. ressie at the Crystal Palace for breakfast with Pooh and friends. We did the same at Epcot--we rode Soarin' twice in that first "extra hour" in the morning that the park opened, plus Test Track, Spaceship Earth and DH did Mission Space!

Holy crap!! That is crazy that you got to do all of that. I've never been on the Winnie the Pooh ride before. Couldn't get on Peter Pan last trip because of the line up and one cranky eight year old. OMG, I call it the People Mover too. I have no idea what they call it now. :) And it's down for refurb along with Space Mountain. *Sniff* I ride that about a dozen times when I'm there. It's my relaxation time. I love it!

Then you MUST do the early morning extra hour. Go on Dumbo first, then go to Pooh, and then head over to Peter Pan, and from there go in any order you want. We HAVE to do Dumbo first--because my "fun loving, Eeyore wearing ears" hubby LOVES DUMBO best of all!

:rotfl2: HAHAHA. I had forgotten all about that picture until you just mentioned it. Well, now I am laughing all over again. teehee!! :lmao: I definitely will do EMH. I am up at the crack of dawn with mah cawfee. Oooh, I'm so excited!! :cool1:

See....that Disney spirit is inching out a little bit more each day. You are going to be FINE!

Here's another picture to make your day:

It the Tomorrowland Transpotation Authority now... but I call it the People Mover, too! Funny story about it... when I was in high school, I was in WDW with my family over spring break. We were in line in Space Mountain, and were laughing at the people stuck in the People Mover for about 40 min. (Real nice, huh?!) Anyway... got home and was talking to my BFF, who was in Fort Lauderdale with her fam for spring break... found out they decided to spend a day in MK, and were in Space Mountain on the People Mover when it broke down! :rotfl:

And my thinking is... it not down for refurb, but so people can't see what they are doing to Space Mountain.

We love to do the evening magic hours. The park will stay open 3 hours after regular closing time. Most of Epcot becomes walk-on, with the exception of Test Track and Soarin'. Those are still best earlier in the day with a fast pass. Animal Kingdom is all walk-on, except Expedition Everest will be a 15-20 min wait. DHS is mostly walk-on, with 15-20 min wait for RNRC. MK is my favorite. Last trip, we rode People Mover twice, Buzz (got stuck for 15 min!). Then Wynn and Tucker went and rode Space Mountain twice, and Thunder Mountain 5 times. Avery and I rode Haunted Mansion twice, all of Fantasyland twice, except for Snow White and Peter Pan 3x, and the carousel once. Then we met Wynn and Tucker for POTC and Jungle Cruise. We love that we can do whatever we want with out fighting heat and crowds. Then we go back to CSR and our comfy beds, and sleep in until 10 the next morning!

Love the pic Kathy!

Here's one for you. My favorite princess... Cinderella Batman!

I've not liked it since it was changed to the morning and evening - that's it - Extra Magic Hours. I know it's great for guests like Kari and her fmaily who enjoy the evening hours.

The first time we went back and it went from being morning to morning and evening I never remember the correct name, I can be such a stick in the mud when it comes to some Disney changes!! Sometimes I want to tell them to leave well enough alone!!

But the morning hours are absolutely the best!! We've been doing it for years and years - at least since around 1990 - when it was only morning. You can get so much done and then leave the park for when everyone else is standing in hot lines.

Sometimes we like to make a lunch reservation at the Plaza and eat on our way out of the MK. Stroll through the shops...pick up a snack for later at the resort...sigh...:)

Oh, you're gonna have so much fun!!!

See, that's a dumb reason. I've been on the People Mover when Space Mountain was under refurb before. Space Mountain is nothing but mounds of metal everywhere. It was absolutely incredible seeing it in the light. What's the big deal?! That's funny about your friend being right there and you not even knowing it.

But aren't they doing the big refurb and changing it like they did in DL? I'm just thinking they want the secrecy. But... I could be wrong! I checked the rehab dates, and it reopens about 2 months before Space Mountain. I bet all the windows will be covered to keep anyone from seeing inside.

I have no idea why they are refurbishing it. Looked fine to me in March! And uhhhh... I have no clue what they did at DL. I don't get out much. I'm way up here in my igloo you know!!

:scared1::scared1::eek:

May I ask WHY????????????????

Well, in March we didn't make it to any park besides MK because we were all on our deathbeds and the last time we were in Orlando was for our honeymoon in 1999. Don't think they had those ridesthen? And if they did, obviously we missed them. :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: That's muh story! :rotfl:

I have never been on Test Track or Soarin. *hangs head in shame*

My *understanding* is that they did some major changes to the track layout. They also changed the cars from front/back seats to side by side, which required at least some changes to the track. I have heard that it is better the new way. I am going to use this as leverage to get my WDW trip next year!

I've not done Test Track (did go through the line and take the chicken exit, if that counts for anything.) ;) Soarin' is a thrill ride for me. :rotfl2: It took me 3 tries of walking right through before I actually stayed on the ride4...with my eyes closed and a friend on either side, arms linked. One friend talked me through what was on the screen and little by little would take a peek.

Second time, had friends on either side, but only one arm linked and opened my eyes more...

Third time no one had to link arms and had my eyes open quite a lot - after we ascended - never before.

Now I can enjoy it after it ascends, but only from the 2nd or 3rd row. The MS gives me motion sickness so cannot open my eyes until after we're up and going.

Both can be very crowded, so unless you arrive at rope drop (and even then) grab a fast pass. ::yes::

How about TOT? I did one time the year it opened, with one drop, and was sick for 3 days (MS)...but do go through the line, then take the chicken elevator, so I can enjoy the line with whomever I'm with. Geesh, thought I was having a heart attach after that ride!! My heart was banging in my chest and hands shaking so that I could not get the money of of my wallet to pay for the photo. DD LOVES the photo - everyone looks like they're on a summer picnic and I look terrified!!

So much fun to be had!!!!! :yay:
