A couple of quick questions for Costco travel users

So we are 99% certain of going , waiting on a cheque from the insurance company ( next week sometime ) here's a breakdown of hotel

First 2 nights (13,14) Howard Johnson 50% off rate
Next 2 nights (15,16) Wyndham rewards at Howard Johnson
Next 4 nights we are looking at PPH or DLH and I see Costco has packages with free gift card and char meal

Question 1. we have to get tickets at the same time we book the hotel? Or can we get char meal and gc if we just book hotel

Question 2 we want a city pass, but plan on doing Universal and sea world while we stay at the hojo, does Costco mail us the citypass or do we pick them up at the hotel? And since we are spending first 4 nights elsewhere can I even pick the city pass up early?

Question 3 we are from Canada will that effect booking on Costco site? Do we still get 2% back with executive membership?

Question 4 , I was going to book through cheap tickets.com, but we are waiting on our cheque . There 20% offer expires today, do they have regular offers? And are the realiable to use? Anyone used them before?

you have to get tickets, it's a whole package deal, hotel and tickets and then you get those bonus perks.

Costco will mail you your package about 15 days before your first night at the hotel under the package, everything will be inside, hotel voucher, tickets, $20 gift card and character meal passes. The only thing that will not be inside is the lanyard and pin which you pick up at the parks, at the store you walk out of after riding Buzz, and I'm not sure where else, but I know there is another.

sorry, not sure about cheap tickets or the canada question. But we've bought packages twice and that's how it worked for us. Hope that helps clarify something.

Also, since you are staying at HOJO under two different reservations, I'd call them or email them and ask them to link them together so that maybe you won't have to change rooms. That would save you alot of hassle. I know most hotels tell you they will but can't guarantee you it, so at checkin make sure you ask again, and early before you check out the first time (if you have to) go down and talk to them. Most of the time it is easier for them to just leave you where you are.

Yes, I am pretty sure you have to get the tickets.

We use Costco because it is convenient to pay for our trip over time without interest. However, many people here have posted that you can often get each item cheaper by not getting it as a package. So if you are going to get tickets separate, you might be better off doing this!

Can us canucks use Costco Travel now? Last time I called them they said I had to have a US address. If so I'm totally excited!

I am not making promises because I don't work for cheap tickets, but I will say that they've pretty much had the 20% off deal going all summer (if not longer). They seem to change the code as the sale 'ends' every couple of weeks but the next day there always seems to be a new code (which is posted right on the front page of their website).

As far as reputability, they are owned and operated by Orbitz which is one of the bigger internet travel sites. I would not have a problem booking thru cheap tickets, just haven't had a need to do so yet. I have booked thru Orbitz (which, incidentally, usually runs a 15% off promo every week too) before and was satisfied, even when I had to cancel one trip, everything went without a hitch.
