$99 HP Touchpad

Does anyone have a good phone number for onsale? The one listed on amazon keeps saying network busy try your call again. 800-896-2011 is that phone number.

I ordered it the 32g on 8/21. It still shows shipment pending. They have not responded to my email of 8-23-2011. The estimated shipment is supposed to be received 8/23 to 8/24. They have not charged my cc either.

I just got off the phone with Amazon about the exact same thing...

I sent an email to onSale from the Amazon site, no response. I have tried calling the number numerous times, no answer or the same message you are getting. My credit card has been charged and my delivery is supposed to be between 8/25 and 8/30. BUT, I haven't seen any type of shipment confirmation or received any communication from onSale since I placed the order. All the information I have is coming from my account information page at Amazon.

When I spoke to the rep at Amazon, she tried calling onSale and could not get them either. She told me that I would have to wait until the expected delivery date passed and then I could file a claim for reimbursement of the charges on my account. UGH!

BTW, the Amazon Rep did not have any other means of contacting onSale.
 
Darn, me too, same time via phone after holding for 2 hrs. However, the rep (who took my order) called back at 10 am and cancelled my order. He didn't tell the truth about what happened...told me my (zero balance) cc blocked the sale. Liar. So a supervisor is supposed to call me back.

Now looking back he kept saying that he just came in to work and had no idea the frenzy with the touchpad...makes me wonder if he purposely cancelled my order. :rolleyes1. At this point I'm not holding out for any miracles.

Aw man. That sucks.

I did call back about 30 minutes after I ordered and tried to order a second one for DH and they were out. My rep told me at that time that there was a problem with my card and I had to call their billing dept. Turns out I gave them my cell # and my home # was the one associated with the card so they had to verify it was me.

They said that dept would have eventually contacted me but probably wouldn't have held the tablet until then. So if I hadn't called when I did I wouldn't be getting one.

Maybe that's what happened to you?

It would be pretty funny if this was a PR stunt and when HP.com replishes their stock they jack the price back up...
Hoping not though...would love one for DD12 for Christmas!:lovestruc

I had this happen when I bought a bookcase from Overstock once. I was really mad about it, but what could I do (it was a match to another I own). They didn't have any more and had to cancel those orders that came in last. They've never replenished the stock of it either...two years later.

If your credit card has been charged (not a pending charge) then it has probably been shipped. They say the telephone lines @ Onsale have crashed.
Hope you get it soon.

Just got my cancellation from BN as well. I am bummed to say the least and also because my account it still debited 2 days later!!!! So its not like you can take that money and use it elsewhere.

I called HP this morning, since I haven't been charged and haven't received a confirmation email. I got through within about 3 minutes. The rep checked my order number and said it's all good to go (yay), but won't be charged until it ships, which should still be a couple of days. OK! Now I can stop thinking about it and get my DS to college.

You would like think that is the case, but, I guess not...I just received this email from Amazon:

Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure there is a $225 charge to my credit card from Amazon for those Touch Pads. Now I have to go through the dispute process. UGH!

So anyone else think this was a huge cluster that bit HP and all of their retailing partners in the BUTT?

HUGE SIGH! I really wanted these for my DDs!

Onsale cancelled.

I have no idea what is going on with my HP order from Friday night. I got an email assuring me that all items will ship out by Thursday. I'm not sure if that still is true. :confused:

Well my B&N was cancelled, this morning the HP cancelled and just now the Amazon OnSale one cancelled too... took 3 days for them to decide that they had none... put did send them to those that had 1 day or Prime shipping those went out yesterday and then tell you to go back to their site and order again from another vender??????

Whoa! I just got a confirmation from bb. I cannot believe this! They are sending all three! Mickeyfan, I guess that I am allowed to have more than one child!
 
I just got a cancel notice from Amazon. I am not happy. They charged my card and I had a ship date of tomorrow. This morning the order was fine-then an email.

The one from HP doesn't even show in their system.

So I am out of luck.

I am really disappointed in Amazon's handling of this. I order a lot from them and have not had anything like this happen. I can't even leave feedback because the order is just gone!
