$99 HP Touchpad

I just got a cancel notice from Amazon. I am not happy. They charged my card and I had a ship date of tomorrow. This morning the order was fine-then an email.

The one from HP doesn't even show in their system.

So I am out of luck.

I am really disappointed in Amazon's handling of this. I order a lot from them and have not had anything like this happen. I can't even leave feedback because the order is just gone!

I guess that is how they avoid negative feedback from the purchasing community...If the order no longer exists, what can you complain about?

My order is mysteriously gone from my account too. I contacted Amazon and made them call my CC issuer with me to release the charge.
 
Well I just got the cancallation for both orders fron Onsale. 1 charge is still on my account. When I ordered they said they had 27 of them in stock. My order was done early Sunday am too. There goes my sons bday present :-(

So if anyone gets an extra one I would be willing to buy. :-)

I also added my email to the hp website.
 
I also got my cancellation notice from Amazon (sold by onsale). I knew it was going to fall through when 3 days passed and I hadn't received a shipping notice. <<kicks dirt>>>I wanted an ipad anyway.

It's very hit or miss with Amazon's third party vendors. I've had good and bad experiences but this is really a non-experience, if you ask me. I wouldn't complain. We all know they were innundated with orders, the outcome was not in my favor, no need to whine about it, IMO.
 
aaaand I just received my cancellation from Barnes & Noble, after having my order active for 3 days with a ship date of 8/24.

Vermin.

Thanks! I had given up! Now even if only one actually is sent, my oldest is set. He is at the college for some pretty long times, so I will be glad he can easily work on his stuff.

I'm sorry people are still having cancellations. I was sure this am that mine was cancelled and was mad and bummed.

I am pleased to report, my tablet was delivered today!

Did you pay for expedited shipping? I ordered mine on the 20th also and show a ship date of tomorrow and delivery on the 30th.
 
My onsale order has just disappeared from my account.

I ordered 3 around 1am on Sunday from HP small and medium business. It has been showing on my account buy says they can't give me information. I had a strange thing when I signed in this morning though. I had five orders, all with different order numbers. The original order hadn't changed but the four new ones all said they had been cancelled.
 
I got an email from HP on Tuesday at 8:24 pm confirming ship date and delivery for 2 32 GB tablets. BN cancelled.
I also called HP on Sunday when the website was so slow and they added my email to the "Notify" List at noon on Sunday. I signed in on our corp account to purchase so I wonder if that made any difference? Gosh, it only took about 4 hours and then I had to delete items because it showed me ordering 9.:confused3
Hope everyone else has luck!

Me too.....not very happy either. My granddaughter will not have a very Merry Christmas...........

Really?? What had you planned on getting her for Christmas if you never heard of the touchpads going on sale for $99?? I was hoping to score a couple for Christmas gifts too, but you know what? I think my kids will have a gosh darn wonderful Christmas no matter what's under the tree.

I do understand the disappointment, I had 2 orders cancel on me as well, but I've moved on, there is no weeping and gnashing of teeth going on here.
 
Aw man. That sucks.

I did call back about 30 minutes after I ordered and tried to order a second one for DH and they were out. My rep told me at that time that there was a problem with my card and I had to call their billing dept. Turns out I gave them my cell # and my home # was the one associated with the card so they had to verify it was me.

They said that dept would have eventually contacted me but probably wouldn't have held the tablet until then. So if I hadn't called when I did I wouldn't be getting one.

Maybe that's what happened to you?

All he said was that my cc blocked the sale (which they didn't) and the stock was gone. I know I gave him all the correct information associated with my cc...so HE must've entered something in wrong. Honestly, the entire process with MM was very strange, professional tone definitely lacking.

And I can't believe you called back and caught what happened, wow!! Just happy to hear you didn't have to receive a call 3-hrs-later, only to learn there wasn't anymore. :laughing:
 
I think BN canceled all orders as I haven't heard anybody here or on SD get confirmation or delivery

Why bother being disappointed in Amazon? I see that as whining.

Were you going to leave bad feedback because things didn't go your way? I don't get that attitude. We all knew going into these orders that we took a risk ordering on line. Until the product is in your hands, you're not guaranteed anything. I just don't see this as Amazon's problem.

yeah isn't that convenient of them to take it away....that happened first then they sent the email and I loved that they wanted you to got back and order another off their site for 3X the price

I just received my cancellation notice from Amazon after sending them 3 emails inquiring as to the status. The money has been returned to my account. I had ordered for my daughter's birthday. Now I've got to get out a gift today !!!
