Excaliberpc.com website says they have 6000+ of the 16G in stock, but it shows a price of $399. Would anyone assume they would price match if bought one today? Their phone sales appears to be closed.

When their phones open up, there is no harm in trying..what is the worst that can happen.. a "no".. You will not know unless you ask.. better to ask and find out no.. than not ask .. then find out they would have.. and it was too late for you... out of stock...

Got a single confirmation email from HP, but my CC is still showing 2 separate "pending" charges. I'm guessing I will only get the one order, but I wouldn't mind if I ended up with two.

Well, I *may* have gotten one. Spent a long time on the HP site this morning and finally got an order to go through. Now to wait for a confirmation.

I found one at a Staples (at least, their online locator says there are some) where my brother lives...may have him run out and see if they are actually there.

Yes, you have to try like 1000x before it works. It took me about 2 hrs to finally get it to go through. Of course the fact that it was 1am when I did it may have helped.

After trying to order online for hours last night with no success, my DH went to our local BB this morning. To my surprise, he was able to get the 16GB! He got there right before they opened and there were about 10 people in line. He said it was all very organized and they were allowing only one tablet per person.

I just ordered 2 from Best Buy. It would only let me put one of each kind in the cart so I ordered a 16GB and a 32GB. I was able to get free shipping to store.

ETA: I just checked my confirmation e-mail and it says "Confirming store inventory at (location). Estimated pickup date: 8/21/11." My store doesn't open until 11:00 today. Hope I'm able to get it!

There was a huge line waiting for them to open. They gave out tickets like they do on Black Friday to the people who were waiting and were sold out before they opened unless you had ordered online.

I couldn't find an online locator for Staples, but the price online is now $49.99! Of course it is sold out. But if there is one at a store, have them price match to their online price.

I called Staples (they open in 30 min.) and was told they sold out within 5 min. of the store opening YESTERDAY. I might try Radio Shack. Maybe not as many people would think to go there. I have a feeling they are all sold out in the stores around here. I also called Walmart and they said they sold out when they went on sale Friday night at midnight.

Ran to Best Buy north this morning -- completely out yesterday. Some woman was getting LOUD -- I NEED THAT FOR MY BUSINESS! Too bad, so sad. Ran to Best Buy south -- should have gone there first! They had them this morning, but had just sold the last one. Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow when HP's phone lines open up.

No email confirmation for the one I ordered on HP, even though I have an order number and they did authorize my cc for the $1.

On the other hand I got the Best Buy confirmation right away.

Amazon took all their touchpads off their site....and I just checked the Lightning deals and 6am was a jumpdrive, 8am is a memory card and 10am looks to be a juicer of some sort. Where exactly did your friend find it on Amazon?
