Amazon took all their touchpads off their site....and I just checked the Lightning deals and 6am was a jumpdrive, 8am is a memory card and 10am looks to be a juicer of some sort. Where exactly did your friend find it on Amazon?

yep! .. and once they saw the $1 was ok, they didn't credit it, they went and charged the actual amount... I honestly have never seen where they have done a $1 trial before.. and I am one who checks the card activity on line often, especially when I order online....

It is really cool! After my DH got home, he said that I should run over to BB and see if there are any left. I was doubtful, but I did. To my surprise they had a couple of them left! I was able to buy one for my daughter!

Ordered 2 last night through th HP website. I have the confirmation number but can't pull up an order on their site and have not received an email confirmation yet. They have authorized the amount on my CC.

Went to Best Buy this morning and they had 18 of 32 gig but there was already a line and I was like 2 people away from getting one

Stopped at Radio shack and Office Max while I was out and no luck there.

Soooo, guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the ones from HP go through.

I really wanted them for DD AND DH Birthdays next month so we'll see. Hopefully they are just backed up and I'll get my confirmation tomorrow morning

I had no problem early this morning with HP website on order one of the 16 GB touchpads. I got a charge on my cc and a order number but no email yet. Crossing my fingers my wife really want one.

I have the smae pending charges (well not 888.95) but the tablet + 1.00

I really hope it is processed.... It has taken 2 hours to get one to go through that far. I almost submitted it again - but jumped over to Chase to see.

I wonder if HP is still taking orders because they know some retailers will send their stock back and HP will have orders lined up to sell it? I have checked every site I know and everyone is sold out It even shows some limited availability in stores in my area but I know that if I drove to them that they'd more than likely be out of stock

When you guys are buying from HP...and you see these charges on your credit card, it is showing the discounted price charged, and not the full amount, right? I was worried when I saw some of you posting multiple charges, etc. Or charges of $800

We just got an order number!

We got in the car about 9:30 this morning to drive to a local store that was showing availability on line.

Store opened at 10, sold out!

On to Best Buy, Radio Shack, Staples and HH Gregg - all sold out!

Back home and using Bonoriffic's link (Thanks Bonoriffic!) we were able to land a 16 and a 32 in the cart and in roughly 30 minutes checked out with an order number.

Now to wait for arrival.

I ordered the one online for $150 and got an order number at the end, but didn't write it down.... no email confirmation. GRRRR...

I've made it all the way to the checkout page on the hp website without it crashing on me, but now at this last final step, I keep getting an error message when I submit the order. If I keep going back and retyping in my credit card info, will I end up with 50 of these when the order goes through? I'm trying to order two of them.

Yeah trying getting any thing to come up on dial up... and I see no Lightening deal on my Amazon site...guess I don't rate it....there are 4 of 5 deals no touch pad... and I had that site up at 11AM mark. Same thing happened to me yesterday on Vera Bradley...by time site came up and shopped and went to cart everything sold out
