2 weeks early - online check-in??

I noticed when looking at the MDE app, it states I can check-in early. My reservation isn't until the 26th of this month.
Seems odd to check-in so early. Do you??

You can do online check-in for your resort as soon as you make your reservation. It can be done months in advance.

Purchasing LLs can be done 7 days before your arrival day.
