Only waited on hold for 20min or so. I had called because I am silver..will be gold in 40 days after i sail on my Western Carribean cruise. Even though My 5th cruise is paid for and am setting sail in 40 days..they wuill not grant you to be a gold member or allow you to book for PC. I was very dissapointed by this...I told the women I wanted to speak with a supervisor re: this issue and she put me on hold and then came back and said he said no...the supervisor would not even get on the phone?:confused3..Not very good customer service:(. However she did give me the going price for 2A cat 5 is about $8000..with a $600 dep. She did say they have been booking alot of Alaskan cruises this am. Well I guess I will keep my chin up and hope for the best on the 28th. Good luck everyone.

Yikes -- I called for the heck of it to see what I could get for the 6/28 Alaska (my TA is doing my bookings for the August 2011 Med). I called at 11:30 p.m. and only waited 13 minutes. I got a CM with very little knowledge about secret verandah rooms and such. Finally got 7120 for three -- a Cat 6 priced at Cat 7 -- and it STILL came to $6,720.89 (all fees included, plus insurance but NOT ground transportation - which would be another $49/pp). I think that is way too high for a 7-day cruise that doesn't include Glacier Bay!!!!

They ARE BTW taking ressies without deposits -- and giving you until 9/24 at 11:59 p.m. to pay.

Is the $600 pp for all cruises, or just the Alaska ones? I hope the MR ones aren't that high since the cruise prices start just above that amount. :sad2:

The Cm said it was for all cruises but again...it's just an FYI - anything could change and often does. :)

Okay. My 102 minute wait on the TA line was almost 3 hours. I booked the 15 day Panama Canal repo for 2A cat 11A for $4566.36; the LA to Alaska repo 4/27-5/3 for 2A cat 5 for only $2126.90 and doing b2b Alaska 5/3-5/10 for 2A cat 5 (same room) for $4349.26. Also booked Alaska 8/16-8/23 same price as 5/3 for 2A. I'm so ready.:dance3::yay::woohoo:

Wait until they announce the Dream's itineraries. :rotfl2:

One thing I am noticing is that with the Alaska cruises there are a few dates that are not the Tuesday dates so I am switching them to the closest cruise to post them in the first post.

Also, noting for myself that this is the point where I have stopped to take a break and get away from the computer for a little bit. :)

Because I thought the Alaskan prices were high, I called to check on the Med prices.

8/31/2011 -- 10nt

7A with 2 A 6443.32, price just fare and taxes
10A with 2 A 4583.32

For comparison, 10 nt 8/18/2010 cost for 2 adults cat 7 $8757.60

your doing a great job thankyou

Booked Alaska August 16th this morning. I had a 2 hour wait on the phone, nice cm, everything went smoothly.

Booked:
2A, Cat 11B = 2,467.00 No insurance, with transfers. My son, who will be three at the time, was an additional $933.00 in the cat 11B. Hopefully this helps those of you who are booking standard inside rooms like me! I figure the cheaper I cruise, the more often I get to go!

Happy booking to all!

WE ARE GOING BACK TO ALASKA........ THIS TIME WITH THE MOUSE

I just booked a navigators verandah on one of the Alaskan Cruises #7620 $4027 w/trip insurance and fees no transfers

Sailing on the Disney Wonder May 24th 2011! :woohoo:

Disney is driving me crazy with the new deck plans. Sorry, my previous post was wrong. The Cat 6's are now actually Cat 5B

Lisa, thanks for organizing everything by date in the first post. Makes it much easier to find what you're looking for! :thumbsup2

Booked on 9/21/09, 9:01AM Eastern, Category 9B (2nd deck, large window, mid-ship), 2Adults, $3149 quoted (with taxes, no transfers), booked at $2885 after 10% discount for modifying an existing cruise.

Steven & Donna, suburban Philadelphia

Has anyone booked Alaska for May using points? I am curious what the points are for 2 adults and 2 children. Doesn't matter what cat just trying to figure out if we will have enough!

Call DVC for points bookings ... though I am not sure they have that calculated as of yet. If not - just book cash - they change-over if it makes sense (at a later date). If you do find out the points info - pleae post online.

Sorry you didn't see the post that was made a couple days ago when someone called to ask about them. The CM said they were being revised. :(

:headache: Me too. Kicker is, I was on the phone with DCL on Friday and mentioned to a CM that I was going to call in today for the Holiday sailings and she NEVER SAID A WORD!

--Cat 11B
--two adults
--we have an assigned sideways 11 that is our first choice stateroom that we had specified with our TA
--with insurance, but no transfers
--second seating, as requested

$2418.58.

Note that we are on the 4/2010 eastbound repo in the same exact cat 11 stateroom, and paid $2431.76 with insurance and no transfers. That was also booked on the first day, and we definitely have Tier 1 pricing for that as the cruise for that is $999/pp base. So at least for the esatbound TA repo (which is quite unpopular relatively speaking), the extra room categories don't seem to have mattered.

Here's our current breakdown
WB Panama Canal
4b - 2A 1C $11.310.68
4B - 1A $7754.68
7A - 1A $5952.18

Thanks for sharing what you booked!
We're hoping to book for the repo and 1st alaska cruise also... so hopefully we'll be doing the same B2B as well! :)
