That is cool!! Who took the picture of you on the balcony??

I was going to try and get a cat. 7, but now that my mom said she would like to join us, I will be trying for a cat. 9, as cat. 7's only hold three people.

Yes, Andy is correct. I just doubled checked my Passporter and it says the same thing.

I tried really hard to stay away! Glad I didn't I would of had 20 pages to catch up on!

Glad to see that some of you are of my era! I loved David Cassidy!:)Everyone was into Donny Osmond, I was the rebel! LOL!

I'll have to keep a weathered eye out for a good t-shirt sale at Michaels! After the 31st of course!

This is wild! But in a good way. pirate:

Did you have your Purple socks ???:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

How much price difference is there between a Cat 6 and 5 ??? I know they must be close arent they considering the only difference is the deck ???? I figure if cat 6 and 5 are similar in price we should have 2 decks to choose from and have better chances to get on this cruise ..LOL and worst case scenerio we go to a cat 4...

pirate:

I am no expert this is just my own experience. We have done a cat 5 before and cat 6. There didn't seem to be much difference except for price. A couple of hundred more?:confused3

I am going to try for a cat 6 for this cruise. I am preparing for the sticker shock :scared1: for right now DH says 99.99 % we are going.:goodvibes

Now that was fitting!!

Todd, I think you have almost posted more to this thread already than you did to the other one! :lmao:

Neah ...im just getting a good start ....I am just excited that this could be a nearly sold out ship the first day ...:cool1: :cool1:

In the afternoon there was a DISNEY PRINCESS at sea afternoon tea, in Luimieres with all the cakes etc from Palos, far better than tea with Alice, My son was so pleased with all of the princesses. This was an inviatation event from GS's.

This will be too much to wait for!!!:goodvibes

My daughters are drooling over this stuff!

:welcome: and it seems we have DS's that are close in age ...My oldest Dylan will be 16 and the youngest Destin will be 7 ...So just hop in the thread and ask away ..

pirate:

I have a Dylan too! He will be 14 and DD Katy will be 8, almost 9 at the time. In fact we will probably celebrate her birthday on board since it is only a couple of weeks after we get home.

Welcome Michelle2!

Hi everyone.....

Well we finally got our first snowstorm.....

Not alot but hey we've had nothing until now...

DH, DD, and i had lunch with one of our favorite Pirates, Mr. Gibbs pirate: and his wife princess:... (AKA Brack on the boards) They came to Frederick to do a sermon and will be taking Bobby on a trip to Ocean City, MD. Bobby was getting bored of being in Fredneck.

After lunch we went over to Tar-zhey where we got a sweet deal on winter boots. They had tons left (since we've had no snow) and they were marked down 75% off. I got three pairs for myself for less than $25. DH got a pair too.

Now that i'm stocked up on snowshoes, that should pretty much clinch it that we never get another flake of snow.

Does this mean you are coming with us???:dance3:

Andy: Thanks so much for posting these...........Brooke told me she isn't really excited anymore about our upcoming wonder cruise. All she can talk about is the 15 day and I make it worse by showing her pictures. We are now obessed with this cruise.:rotfl:

I see you have been looking at my pics and kids, !!
Also Navigators from 2005 East/b repo and shore guides are at Disneycruiser, (casterwayclub) I didnt know if I could post the link, but as a MOD did it I think I am ok.

I understand they have been 'hit' a lot since Thursday. lots of interest.

Didnt want to post here until I had confirmed I am going, but T/A has instruction to book on 31st for East/b

Andrew: Thanks for posting these...........lots of research needed. Afterall we had 2 years to plan for Aug. DD and only 18 months for this cruise.:woohoo:

:sad2:
Hi everyone!
I just got the official ok from DH to go on the eastbound panama canal cruise. I am so excited I can't even think straight! :yay: :cheer2:
I am also a little star struck with all of the famous DISers who will be on this cruise too....

I was always lurking, not sure if we were going or not, but seeing that this thread is always hopping, I knew I better get in on all the fun! Just wanted to say hi!
It will probably be myself (celebrating my bday on the 21st during the cruise!), DH, DS14 (15), DD12 (14), DD10 (12 on the cruise), and DS4 (6).

Does anyone have any idea what time reservations open on the 31st?? I will be waiting anxiously with everyone else!

Welcome!! I will have also have a 14 yo DD at cruise time! I swear this cruise stuff loves to age my kids...

Does this mean you are coming with us???:dance3:

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

We'll have to see if i get lucky in the phone lottery..... (i've been keeping up with both threads JIC)

I SOOOOOOO cannot afford anything under a cat 10 to get this to work and if the room is on deck 2 (well..that ain't gonna fly)

Thanks, verandah man and buddy bear! I guess I will have to try for a cat 10 or 9. I did a 9 with my sister and the boys in '04. This time I've talked the hubby into going.

In the cruise industry you pay a higher price being higher up on the ship; I guess the assumption is you get a better view so you pay more.

In the case of a cat 5 and 6 they are indentical rooms in everyway. You just pay more to be on deck 7 (cat 5) than you do for deck 6 (cat 6).

The way the ship is built there are more quads (rooms that sleep 4) mid-ship on deck 7 than on deck 6. If you like mid-ship and don't care about the difference in decks then a cat 6 is the way to go.

My rule of thumb is book a cat 6 if it is available. If not, then take a cat 5, but on a repo the difference (IMO) is going to be more than a couple of hundred dollars.

Well the difference between cat. 5 and cat. 6 on the Double Dip was $300. Not sure what it will be for the repo though. :confused3

I am going to price a cat. 6 and a cat. 9, but in all likely hood, we'll probably go with a cat. 9, unless my biological father's house sells within the next few days, then I would go for a cat. 6 or higher!!! :cloud9:

I have a feeling it will be alot more for the Repo ....Like I said as long as I can get a Verandah thats all that matters ....It would be nice to get the Walt Suite again , but I am sure it would be a small fortune for the REPO ..
