In the cruise industry you pay a higher price being higher up on the ship; I guess the assumption is you get a better view so you pay more.

In the case of a cat 5 and 6 they are indentical rooms in everyway. You just pay more to be on deck 7 (cat 5) than you do for deck 6 (cat 6).

The way the ship is built there are more quads (rooms that sleep 4) mid-ship on deck 7 than on deck 6. If you like mid-ship and don't care about the difference in decks then a cat 6 is the way to go.

My rule of thumb is book a cat 6 if it is available. If not, then take a cat 5, but on a repo the difference (IMO) is going to be more than a couple of hundred dollars.

Hi Jeff: I am sure the repo will show a big difference in price between cat. It just seemed for reg. cruise it was only a couple hundred difference for a cat 5 or 6. It is only 3 of us cruising this time. The one thing WE do know is we would like a verandah and a cat. 6 would do just fine.

I am going to price a cat. 6 and a cat. 9, but in all likely hood, we'll probably go with a cat. 9, unless my biological father's house sells within the next few days, then I would go for a cat. 6 or higher!!!

Hi gang! Went to dinner and to the grocery store....crazy...it's too cold to be out there. It was 36° at 6:00! That's amazing for us.
I sure wish I were a weather person, get paid for being wrong. It was supposed to be partly sunny and 50° today. Instead I woke to rain, then snow, then sun, then hail, then snow again and then rain again.



Andy, this morning when I walked the dog in my robe and slippers, I thought about you. I made sure I left the door UNLOCKED!

It's snowing here now, the car and ground is now covered, I don't even know what the amount total is predicted. I've been too busy watching the Colts beat the Pats in a very exciting game!!!

Now, it's getting to be my bedtime.


Just watched the weather, only getting .5" to 1.5" of snow by morning.

justmestace- we walked our dog today wearing a sweater, coat, overcoat, scarf, gloves, and boots. Even put a sweater on the dog! But, I don't live in Arizona... Hope it warms up for you soon!

ANDY GIBB was way more of a hunk! I, too bought his Shadow Dancing album in about 1979. Yes, this dates me... so will this next b-day in March... the big 4-0!! (Hey, if you type 4-0!! with the shift key down [accidently] it comes out looking like a really bad sensored word! How appropriate!! )

My DD is also already having crushes on the boys on Disney Channel. Actually, her first crush was on Aladdin! Yes, on the cartoon! When we went to DL when she was about 4-5?, she refused to get her picture with him or even go on the Carpet ride. It was frightenly cute!

It's days like these that you really appreciate being somewhere warm. Our winter started slow this year and is going strong now but with warm thoughts of the repo in my head............and the 4 day wonder soon well that's all I need.

So now you guys have me really worried... do you think there's a chance we WON'T get on the cruise? Sure we all know about it, but we are crazy DIS people who spend our free time doing this! Right now, we are on the list with one of the 'big name' DCL travel agents. Don't they call right when the phone lines open and scoop up all the rooms they need for their clients? Is there really a chance we won't get in? I requested a specific category - should I call back and give them plan B & plan C??? We've cruised DCL 2x before, I even got connecting SPHs last time, but I've never booked one of these high demand, once every few years trips. This is way too much stress!!!

Where did I put that damn pixie dust????

As long as she doesn't walk around in a T-Shirt with his picture I can deal with most anything else, (oh yeah except for the pillow with his picture, no way to that either!)

I did love my Partridge Family lunch box! Maybe I can find her a High School Musical lunch box. Or how about luggage. That way you can easily spot us when we are waiting to board the ship!

Better yet, some Partrige Family luggage. Then we would really stand out!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I am nervous too, and hope that we can get the rooms we want, especially with this popular cruise. Our situation is a little tricky, so I will just have to keep my fingers crossed for the staterooms we want, and hope it won't break the bank too much!!

DisneyVegas1, I was born and raised in Vegas. I have all of my family that still live there all over from Henderson, to North Vegas, so we still visit all of the time.

Oh, it's even worse for some of us! I'm about 5 years younger . . . we had Leif Garret ! Followed by Duran Duran & Wham! It is amazing anyone my age ever grew up to marry a man who looked like a, well, MAN!

I have a feeling it will be alot more for the Repo ....Like I said as long as I can get a Verandah thats all that matters ....It would be nice to get the Walt Suite again , but I am sure it would be a small fortune for the REPO ..

Agreed. We had the Roy in August for our DD and it only cost me $7,000. The repo will probably be over $20,000.
