OK our dogs are too alike - a husky-at-large beagle and a beagle-at-heart husky. Isis cannot be left off leash. Chloe on the other hand - I think she's a mouse in a husky skin. She will walk off leash at your side but will run off leash if we walk Isis w/o her! Found that out the hard way. So we separate them. I however, am in awe of those dog owners that have obedient dogs.

Yeah....my dogs failed that come back part too.... And abby is just so fast and long legged that she would be in DC or WV before we caught up with her. They both have been suffering from cabin fever but it's been too muddy to go to the dog park.

The bike riding can be fun, too -- :

We did bikes last time. Lots of fun. I probably will do again this time.

Hi All,

We're joining this motely crew for another trip through the Canal.

Welcome to the crew BOB

If you ever see them with their vests on, run them down. The vests mean they are giving out dreams.

First time was exiting the Crush and Gusher at Typhoon Lagoon and kids and I (wife again off somewhere) got pin lanyards with two YOAMD pins.

My Wish story.... DD and I were exiting Crush n gusher after my one-n-only wild ride that day (yeah and we flipped over too)

i wish we had gotten pins and lanyards though....All we got were bracelets to come back after 5pm for an extra hour (we were leaving for home that day so USELESS and since dh didn't go he wouldn't have been able to go anyway.)

FYI for anyone who has an ST turning 15:

DD turns 15 in May but I've never seen anyone do one of those Qunicera___ thingies. Perhaps it's more of a regional or nationality thing. (Kinda like debutante stuff is in the south; us northerners could care less about that stuff)

Now she probably does want to do something fun next year. I wouldn't be opposed to taking 2 or 3 or her friends to DW for the weekend perhaps. We have points. It's the air and the tickets that would be the cost.

Hey M....you would like this. She went to a skating party on Sat nite for a friends 16th. The frederick rink has a second whole rink they rent out and the girls had the whole rink to themselves (maybe 10-15 of them) Boy was it cold in there.....

Her friend's parents spent $25,000 on their girls this past November! :scared1: :faint:

DD realizes we not made of $$$$ luckily...

Did I mention that I have to go in for my first colonoscopy on Wednesday.

Ok Roger you win the "Pain in the Add" award for this week.....

Sorry i haven't been around for a couple days. I've been a little busy and just plain tired. This was me this morning.

Thanks! Did I mention that I have to go in for my first colonoscopy on Wednesday. :scared1: Tomorrow is clear liquids, jello and a gallon of that stuff I use to joke about when giving to our patients. Did mention that it is a pain to get old.

DM is still in the hospital but doing better. DF got to go home that night. Unfortunately they live about an hour and a half away so I had no pull at that hospital. I did get to know all of the staff by the time I left. Just got back from taking by DF down to visit.

Wow, Roger!:flower3: Just forget what I said about this week being better -- not much chance there with a colonoscopy thrown into the mix . . . next week will be your week! Hope your mother gets out of the hospital soon, too.

Good Morning All

Thank you (as always)for the newsletter, Tom

No way I can ketchup - I hope everyone is doing well. Happy Birthday to all I have missed and welcome to all newcomers to the thread!!!

Roger - Hope the folks are feeling better :flower3: . I ended up with that stomach cooties a few weeks ago and it kicked the carp out of me for a few days. NO FUN at all.

My surgery went well last week and will know for sure on Thursday just how well when I go for a follow up and results of the pathology report will be be available (fingers crossed).

I am off to pack for an overnite stay in the Berkshires. I really don't want to go but am feeling really guilty because I was supposed to go skiing this week for school break with my neighbor. I had to cancel my condo when it became clear my surgery would be too close to the date so she is left up there alone with 3 ST's :scared1: . I must rescue her for at least one night. I am supposed to leave by 9AM, but since I haven't packed a thing yet and *my* ST is still in bed - that ain't happening. No skiing for me this year, but at least I can watch them from our condo :sad1:

Have a great rest of the week everyone.

I am starting to get the feeling back in my fingers (funny the things you just take for granted  ) so I might even be able to make chat, finally, on Friday. It takes me so long to type something that makes any sense I would be groundhog-ing all thru chat.

Good luck with the follow up on Thursday, Mary Ann:flower3: Be sure to let us know what you hear . . .:grouphug:

I learned my lesson about beagles when I had my first beagle, many years ago (he died when I was pregnant with my third daughter, who is now 10) . . . he got out of the house we were renting on Cape Cod and ran like a crazy thing . . . luckily I thought to go and open the car door and say "Do you want to go for a ride?" which he knew and liked -- once I had him in the car he was trapped!

The quinceanera is a Latina thing in general, but may be getting more widespread in popularity . . . once marketers figure out a way they can make people spend more money, they usually go after it big time.

Glad to hear you're doing well. We'll keep fingers crossed for you too, and continue to send good thoughts and prayers your way.

Hey the more the merrier! Your dd looks so cute and she looks like she is around my dd's age!

I looked on the Pirate website. My DD will be just shy of 9 when we cruise, so she's a little younger than your DD. They won't be in the same group in the lab. But I'll bet if we're at the pool at the same time, Hailey will be talking your DD's ear off! My DD also takes hip-hop dance classes. She just started this fall but really enjoys it.

I learned my lesson about beagles when I had mu first beagle, many years ago (he died when I was pregnant with my third, who is now 10) . . .

Just had to re-read that as I was skimming through.... I read you were pregnant with your third beagle :scared1: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thank you, the Doctors said, on steroids your fighting a loosing battle on weight gain, but thats like a red flag to a bull to me, if someone says you cant,

Its been an average of three pounds each week, nothing major, but also a regular amount so far, that might be easier to keep to.

Last blood count was 'normal' now thats the first time I have ever been called that!
Great news on the weight loss. I am also trying to prove that you can be on meds and not gain weight. I take Lyrica and everyone I talked to said you gain weight. So I am determined to prove them wrong. So far I am down 8 lbs, since they doubled my dose of it. I hope that continues.

Anyone try the Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans?

pf_JR_jellybeans.gif

I don't like jelly beans...but I LOVE these jelly beans!

Chrissie

I don't like "regular" jelly beans at all, but I love Spiced Jelly Bird Eggs. Yum!

I love jelly beans but mostly the spiced ones. I have tried the Jolly Rancher ones but I don't care much for them. I would rather have spiced.

hi everyone! seems strange to see the sunshine here...it's been so long! hope everyone is having a great day!

Read all about me in the National Enquirer . . . inquiring minds want to know!:rotfl:

We're going to the Fredneck rink next Sunday for a game. Are you guys up for lunch or early dinner?

Quincewhatever is sorta like the Hispanic version of Sweet 16. Sort of like sweet 16, and bar/bat mitzvah, the tradition has given way to insanity during the last few years.
