I have a $15.00 off General Admission coupon if you'd like to have it.

I really appreciate that but we have all booked the VIP tour. I figured that this is the one and only time we will get to CA for a very long time and I don't want to stand in lines all day. It includes vallet parking, breakfast & lunch in their VIP lounge, a 3 hour tour private tour of the backlots including prop warehouses & other things not on the regular backlot tour, transportation in our own tram :), 3 hours of being escorted to the front of the line for all the rides. We will get lanyards that we can use to do the FOL stuff after the tour is over and I plan to use those to see the shows (front row reserved seating). The kids are all excited. Why? Because Todd's son and my kids are bringing their DS lites and they will be able to prochat while we are going around on the tour. :rolleyes1

Evening All! What a day. TGIF! DD is going to a sleep over at the SA tonight and I'm going to get me some kinda refreshment for tonight! :drinking1I sit around waiting for 3 weeks for my bosses to do their part with a civil service exam I'm working on and than Wham!... it has to be done today! :scared1: Well there was no way it was going to get done today, so we have Monday, but I didn't find that out until 3:45 PM! Yikes!

I mailed off the wristbands. I still have 3 more to mail and will get them out tomorrow morning. Now to sort and bundle them for the trip to CA.

And ketchup up!:surfweb:

We're packing 4 full sunscreen tubes for 3 of us. But I plan on spending a lot of time in the water and I fry if you look at me wrong.

I might just have to pick up another can of the sunscreen for the kids. I am also packing some of the aloe spray for the just in case places that you miss with the lotion. :(

ON MSN today:

Charging for checked luggage and legroom isn’t enough for some carriers — starting today (Aug. 1), coach passengers flying aboard US Airways Inc. must pay for a drink of water.

This morning, US Airways began charging fliers $2 for bottled water and sodas and $1 for teas and coffees. First class members, trans-Atlantic passengers and a select group of others are exempt from the extra fees.

Soon we will be charged if we want to use the bathrooms...

$2 for a little can of soda? That should help them rack up the dough....
I remember when they started charging for the headphones I thought that was ridiculous. Little did I know that within the next few years they'd start charging for things like checked luggage and water. I can totally see a coin operated bathroom someday in the future.... sigh

It's the wave of the future.
- Charges for not sitting next to a whining baby
- Magazines
- Air
- Premium for ontime arrival.
- Premium for having your baggage arrive.
- Charge for a sober pilot.

Sigh.....

Everything is up in the air (no pun intended) right now. DH is giving me some trouble...

Come on Caroline! You can do it!!!

It's not like Todd is controlling it like one of his fliers.

You also won't be dealing with a puddle jumper from your airport.

Just have a drink when you board and you will be partying

before you know it. :) Seriously...I am not looking forward to flying either... :scared: terified of it...but given that or the option of the kids in a car together bickering for 4 days cross country makes it an easy choice for me. :thumbsup2

We're bringing Aloe too! Can't be too careful.

For those who are Harry Potter fans, I found this on Amazon:

Tales of Beedle the Bard

It's a special edition reprint of the Tales of Beadle the Bard. It won't ship until December, but I'm psyched.

There is no mention of the scrapbook swap....or have I just missed it?

This is not a complete list of activities, that will be in the pirate navigator. This started out as just off ship excursions, then expanded to include Palo and Spa.

I pre-ordered my copy yesterday!

I'm bringing Noxema - the aloe just doesn't do it for me.

I went back to find the pepsie sign to adapt it a bit and found this one!!!

On another note, I had my yearly physical yesterday & she gave me some happy pills for the flight out & she also told me that she wished I had told her about the trip sooner & she would've given me the Hep A shots. I guess some doctors are more cautious than others. :confused3 She did give me a tetanus shot while I was there & now I'm wondering if I should get the kids one or are they pretty much up to date with all that stuff for kids?

My doc gave me a tetanus shot, but that's because I've never had one as an adult. Kids are generally kept up to date due to school requirements.

He said I could get the Hep A if I wanted, but he didn't feel it was absolutely necessary.

Being red-head, I'm bringing the 50gal drum of Aloe (lol), however once all my freckles join up, I end up with one heck of a tan.

I got that BTB email from Amazon, for some reason its not pushing my buttons the way the original novels did :confused3

I was wondering if I should bring 2 deoderants?

We have trial sizes for our first day in California..we will pick up regular sizes when we get there....

2 sunscreens..too much or is that good?

Chrissie

Sunscreen rule of thumb:

1 oz per person initially with reapplying needed after excessive sweat (we'll have that) or swimming. So an 8 oz container of sunscreen that would ideally only last 4 days for 1 person.
I have 10 bottles of the spray Neutrogena sunscreen already ready but will probablly get more before we go.

According to the weather report I just saw the next few days are going to be: 105, 106 107 (heat index of above 110) and then 99. That is crazy hot! I really would like my electric bill to be 3 digits and not 4.
